Had a wonderful time, hope to come back again soon!

The road climbs before the landscape opens. Somewhere past the last stretch of pavement, perched on a hilltop with unobstructed sightlines in every direction, a geodesic dome rises against the desert sky. The Jungle Dome By The Cohost Company is not a traditional retreat so much as an exercise in radical transparency, a structure designed to dissolve the boundary between shelter and wilderness. Its glass-paneled frame captures panoramic 360-degree views of the surrounding Yucca Valley terrain, from jagged rock formations to the wide, shifting palette of high desert sunsets. Inside, the dome's open layout is lush with tropical plants, creating an unlikely interior jungle that contrasts with the arid landscape just beyond the glass.
The space is configured as a single private residence, suited to couples or small groups seeking genuine isolation. The interior blends bohemian warmth with a certain spare intentionality. Furnishings are curated rather than cluttered, and the circular architecture gives the living area a sense of openness that conventional walls cannot replicate. But the defining feature may be what waits just outside. A hilltop hot tub sits on the property's elevated vantage point, offering soaking under open skies with views that stretch across the valley floor and into the distant mountain ranges. At night, with minimal light pollution, the star visibility is extraordinary. Mornings arrive slowly here, the sun tracing across the curved glass panels and flooding the interior with desert light long before you need to consider an agenda.
Yucca Valley sits at the gateway to Joshua Tree National Park, a landscape of surreal boulder piles, twisted Joshua trees, and vast quiet. The area has drawn artists, musicians, and seekers for decades, and the surrounding community reflects that creative, unhurried spirit. Small galleries, vintage shops, and independent restaurants dot the main road through town, while the national park's hiking trails, climbing routes, and scenic drives are a short distance away. The dome's hilltop position places you just far enough from it all to feel removed, but close enough that a day spent exploring the desert's strange beauty can end with a return to something warm, green, and entirely your own.
What lingers about the Jungle Dome is the contrast it holds so effortlessly. The interior tropics against the exterior desert. The engineered geometry of the dome against the ancient, irregular landscape. The deep stillness of the valley against the warmth of water and the slow unfurling of an evening spent watching the sky change color through every pane of glass. It is a place that asks very little of you and offers, in return, a kind of attention you rarely give yourself.

There's something disarming about a geodesic dome in the high desert — it shouldn't feel this natural, but it does. The structure catches light from every direction, and the interior leans into that openness with eclectic, deliberately curated furnishings that feel personal rather than staged. It's the kind of place where the architecture itself shapes the mood: airy, unhurried, a little whimsical. Outside, the cowboy pool and hot tub sit against a landscape of Joshua trees and distant mountains, and the scale of sky here — especially after dark — is genuinely hard to overstate. Sound carries differently inside the dome, which gives the whole experience an unexpected intimacy. This one suits the traveler who wants solitude without austerity, and who finds real comfort in places that refuse to take themselves too seriously while still getting every detail right.

This AirBnB was genuinely one of the coolest places I have ever stayed. We went to celebrate our seniors who are graduating from college, and I can't believe how special this place was. I will never forget the time I spent in the Dome!!!!!!!

Absolutely a stunning place to stay as a base to explore the palm desert area. We are a group of 6 adults and felt the space is very roomy. The furnishings are beautiful yet functional, the outdoor area is super nice to do yoga in the morning or enjoying hot tub in the evening. The hosts are very responsive to all our inquiries and needs. Would love to stay again in the future if we come back to the region.
