What we love about this stay
Request an ocean-facing room on the higher floors of the Colonial wing — the hardwood floors and marble baths are standard throughout, but the morning light here is unmatched, and you'll want that balcony for your Carlton Room coffee ritual. Grab a seat on the Ocean Deck before sunset; don't wait for a host, just settle in. At LT Steak & Seafood, skip the dining room and ask for the terrace if weather allows. In addition to being located at one of the two quiet ends of Ocean Drive (which is a MUST if you want to stay at Ocean Drive) this is a hotel for people who like a touch of intellectual elegance, culture, art, music and literature during your stay. It is filled with these things. The service ( the people providing it) was excellent: Chris at the front desk, Juan (who did all kinds of things) , Fritzner and Fritz were amazing. Chris even helped me with inspiration for my writing, giving me a book with Poems written by the son of the founder, and I am very grateful for that. The Yoga in the mornings on the top roof was also fantastic. On top of that my Tablet Plus membership gave me the opportunity of getting an upgrade which was possible when I was there, complimentary breakfast etc. Such a treat! Thank you Betsy (and Tablet) for this wonderful and unforgettable stay!
