Just steps from the Champs-Élysées, tucked along a quiet street in Paris's eighth arrondissement, Hôtel de la Boetie occupies a classic Haussmann-era building that opens into something unexpectedly intimate. The façade is unmistakably Parisian, all carved stone and wrought-iron balconies, but inside the scale shifts. This is a 30-room boutique hotel that trades the grandeur of the neighborhood's palaces for something more personal, more closely held. The lobby is warm and contained, with contemporary furnishings set against period architectural details, establishing a tone that carries through every floor: modern comfort grounded in the bones of a 19th-century residence.
Rooms and suites are designed with clean lines, neutral palettes, and careful attention to materials. Hardwood floors, upholstered headboards, and generous natural light give each space a residential quality, while marble-clad bathrooms and refined fixtures maintain a sense of polish. Categories range from cozy Classic rooms to more spacious Superior and Privilege options, some offering views over the rooftops or the tree-lined street below. The overall feeling is one of understated composure, rooms that invite long mornings and unhurried evenings without overwhelming with ornamentation. Breakfast is served in a vaulted stone cellar, a striking setting where exposed stonework and soft lighting create an atmosphere that feels almost private, as though you've been let into a part of the building most guests never see.
The hotel's location is its quiet advantage. You are in the heart of the Golden Triangle, within walking distance of the Arc de Triomphe, the Grand Palais, and the luxury boutiques of Avenue Montaigne and Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. The Champs-Élysées is barely a minute away, yet the Rue de la Boétie itself remains residential and composed, shielded from the boulevard's constant energy. Art galleries, world-class restaurants, and the green expanse of the Tuileries are all reachable on foot, placing you at the center of Paris without ever feeling consumed by it.
What stays with you about Hôtel de la Boetie is a certain proportion. It is small enough to feel like yours, polished enough to feel like a treat, and positioned so precisely in the city that every return at the end of the day feels like stepping out of Paris and into something that belongs only to the evening ahead.

What we love about this stay
What strikes you here is the quiet confidence of a hotel that doesn't try to compete with the grandeur outside its doors — it simply lets you feel like you belong in this neighborhood. Each room carries its own personality, mixing plush velvets and crisp linens with a distinctly Parisian sense of proportion, the kind of décor that feels collected rather than designed. It's intimate enough that the place registers less as a hotel and more as a well-kept address near the Champs Elysées, one you'd share selectively. The proximity to the metro — barely a couple of minutes on foot — means the entire city unfolds effortlessly, yet you return to something that feels genuinely settled and unhurried. It's the kind of stay that rewards those who want Paris woven into their mornings over coffee and croissants rather than observed from behind a lobby's velvet rope.
