What we love about this stay
Request a bungalow toward the back of the property — they're quieter, more private, and the Dutch doors frame the light beautifully in the late afternoon. The pool is Malibu's best-kept secret precisely because it's the only hotel pool in town, so claim a lounger before noon on weekends. In the evening, skip heading into town and settle by the fire pit instead — the sky turns absurd shades of tangerine around 7 p.m. in summer, and it's the kind of moment you don't get poolside anywhere else on PCH. Drive ten minutes north to Zuma early morning for uncrowded surf, then come back for a late breakfast featuring whatever the local farms sent over that day. This place rewards you for slowing down.

Hidden little gem on PCH! Simplistic, clean, and the perfect for a weekend getaway. Loved the heated pool during our winter stay. Location is great but still requires a quick drive to the local spots. Ubers can be tricky depending on your excursion, but the hotel staff was great at helping navigate.
