There is a particular kind of hotel that earns its place not by standing apart from its city but by standing squarely within it. Inn on Fifth occupies the heart of downtown Naples, anchored to the stretch of Fifth Avenue South where sidewalk dining, gallery strolls, and the rhythm of a walkable downtown converge. The architecture reads as contemporary Florida with clean lines and warm tones, a property that feels substantial without overwhelming the streetscape it calls home. Step through the lobby and the scale becomes clear: this is a full-service hotel with the personality of a boutique, offering 119 rooms and suites across two distinct buildings, including the Club Level suites in the newer tower, where private balconies open to views of the Gulf of Mexico or the Avenue below.
Accommodations range from well-appointed guest rooms to spacious Club Level suites, many featuring deep soaking tubs, separate living areas, and floor-to-ceiling windows that pull in natural light. The Club Level experience adds a layer of exclusivity with a private rooftop terrace, a dedicated concierge, and complimentary food and beverage presentations throughout the day. It is a thoughtful distinction that gives guests a reason to linger on property even with the energy of Fifth Avenue right outside. The rooftop pool and sun deck sit above it all, offering a vantage point over the downtown skyline and a quieter counterpoint to the street-level activity. Truluck's, the acclaimed seafood restaurant located on the ground floor, provides a refined dining anchor with its stone crab, steaks, and extensive wine list, while the surrounding blocks of Fifth Avenue deliver dozens of additional restaurants, cafes, and bars within a short walk.
Naples itself is a city where the coastline shapes daily life. The white sand beaches along the Gulf are minutes away, and the historic Naples Pier extends into the water as one of the most recognizable landmarks on Florida's southwest coast. Tin City, the waterfront shopping and dining district, sits a short drive north, while the Naples Botanical Garden and Artis-Naples cultural campus offer diversions beyond the beach. The Everglades are close enough for a day trip, adding a layer of wilderness to what is otherwise a polished coastal city. Inn on Fifth's location makes all of it accessible on foot or with minimal effort, a quality that distinguishes it from the more isolated resort properties that line the outer beaches.
What stays with you after a visit is the ease of it. The way mornings can begin with coffee on a private balcony overlooking the Avenue, shift into an afternoon at the rooftop pool, and dissolve into an evening walk to dinner without ever needing a car. Inn on Fifth is built around that kind of proximity, a hotel that understands the particular pleasure of being right where things happen, with a quiet room waiting just above.

What we love about this stay
There's something appealing about a hotel that doesn't retreat from its streetscape but leans into it — and here, the energy of Fifth Avenue South is less a backdrop than a defining feature. The Mediterranean design vocabulary feels earned rather than decorative, with rich woods and muted coastal tones that ground the interiors in something warm and unhurried. A faint citrus-and-jasmine scent in the lobby sets a sensory tone that's specific and intentional, not generic. The pool area trades spectacle for quiet — palm rustle, water sounds, cabanas that suggest you're meant to stay a while. It suits the traveler who wants polish without pretension, and proximity to Naples' best dining and gallery-hopping without ever needing a car. The kind of place where the surrounding street life becomes part of the stay itself.

I like the complimentary shuttle service. However, it wasn't always available at a moment's notice. The wait would have been 15 min. Too much cash spent on tipping. The 5 days we stayed were records breaking temperatures, so shuttle service was nice. The front desk staff were all very friendly. Requests for extra hangers and housekeeping service were courteous and prompt. 2 complementary water bottles each day were provided. Great experience using the soft water shower; however, lights would turn off while taking shower, and had to open the shower door to turn it on again. Bed and linens were comfortable.
