What we love about this stay
Request a garden-facing room on the upper floor—the morning light is extraordinary, and you'll catch the salt air without any road noise. This is a boutique property, so it stays intimate, but the pool deck fills fast on weekends; claim a lounger before ten and you'll have the best of it. Late afternoon is when the property really earns itself: the garden goes golden around six, and if you're sitting poolside with a glass of rosé, you'll understand why people come back summer after summer. Don't overplan your days—rent bikes from town, ride to Indian Wells Beach mid-morning when the crowds are thin, and save evenings for wandering the village on foot. The Hamptons reward those who move slowly here.

I cannot say enough good things about this hidden gem. The decor was lovely, the rooms were spotless and cozy, the beds were extremely comfortable. There is a stylish pool house attached to the heated pool and s'mores every evening by the fire pit. The weekend we were there, there was even a talented artist "in residence" featuring her work in the Garden Room. But as nice as all those things were, it was the people who made our stay so memorable. Cindy and Erica and everyone at Journey (we even met the lovely owner) went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. If you're hankering for a weekend getaway to a quiet spot that treats you like a VIP, check out Journey before the secret is out.

My husband and I spent a night at Journey East Hampton in early November. The hotel is lovely. Comfortable room and bed and a fabulous facility and site layout. Staff were amazing. We are already thinking about our next trip! .

We paid $1377 for one night, two queens. I get the high season thing, good here. Room looked modern and ok, bathroom doors would not close, very noisy floors, overall facilities are very well kept. Our TV wasn’t working. For this price they should at least make sure they do. Resort fee of over $100 and when we got in at night around 11:00pm, everything was closed including the front desk and pool. We called a couple times during the day prior to arriving and they only have a voicemail and email option. Room 109.
