The lobby feels like walking into someone's well-curated living room, if that someone had exceptional taste and a deep affection for Nashville's creative history. Noelle occupies the former Noel Place, a 1930 building in the heart of downtown Nashville whose original Art Deco bones have been carefully preserved and reinterpreted. The architecture carries its age with grace: terrazzo floors, geometric ironwork, and period details sit alongside contemporary art installations and furnishings that feel collected rather than placed. It is a hotel that understands the difference between restoration and reinvention, landing somewhere genuinely interesting between the two.
The 224 guest rooms are organized across several room categories, each designed with a palette that nods to the building's midcentury character while remaining distinctly modern. Warm wood tones, custom millwork, and curated artwork give the spaces a residential quality. Some rooms look out over Printer's Alley, the narrow lane just steps away that once served as Nashville's underground entertainment district. The property's public spaces are equally considered. The lobby lounge operates as a gathering point throughout the day, shifting naturally from morning coffee to evening cocktails. Makeready Libations & Liberation, the hotel's bar, anchors the social life of the ground floor with craft cocktails and a spirited atmosphere that draws both guests and locals. Drug Store Coffee serves as the morning ritual, offering specialty drinks in a space that recalls the building's former pharmacy. For dining, the on-site restaurant, Trade Room, delivers a menu rooted in seasonal Southern cooking, served in a room whose warm lighting and vintage accents make it feel like a private supper club.
Noelle sits at the crossroads of downtown Nashville's most walkable blocks, just off Broadway and within steps of the Ryman Auditorium, the Country Music Hall of Fame, and the live music venues that define the city's cultural pulse. Printer's Alley, with its storied past as a hub for speakeasies and jazz clubs, is literally at the hotel's doorstep. The location places you in the thick of Nashville's energy without requiring you to seek it out. And yet the hotel itself operates at a different tempo, offering a retreat from the honky-tonk volume just outside.
What stays with you after Noelle is the sense that every detail was chosen by someone who genuinely loves this city and its contradictions. The building's history is never treated as a costume. The art on the walls, the cocktail program, the playlist drifting through the lobby, all of it feels specific to this place and this moment. It is a hotel that rewards attention, one that asks you to slow down just enough to notice the terrazzo underfoot, the light falling through original windows, the quiet hum of a city that never stops writing its next verse.

What we love about this stay
Noelle feels like Nashville distilled into a building — not the tourist-brochure version, but the city's creative restlessness made tangible. There's a local artistry woven into the rooms that keeps the place from feeling like just another polished downtown hotel; it reads more like someone's very considered point of view about what this city deserves. The shared lounge captures that same energy, pulling strangers into the kind of easy, idea-swapping conversation Nashville seems to generate effortlessly. And the proximity to the Ryman — close enough that you can walk back still humming — grounds the whole stay in something historically real. It's a property that doesn't just sit in Music City; it actually listens to it.

One of my best stays anywhere - pampered but not pretentious! It’s location was perfect - easy walk to lots of different destinations. The hotel was unique/historic/charming … I felt a real get-a-way feeling walking into the hotel; and it made the entire experience top notch. There were lots of ways to splurge at the hotel - without going out if I wanted to do that. There were 3 bars - each a different vibe. And an excellent coffee shop. Lots of windows at coffee shop to just people watch. I was worried about parking since we rented a car but the valet staff took great care of us during our entire 8-day stay. We are recommending Noelle to anyone who is visiting Nashville-you won’t be disappointed.

Great stay! Great service and assistance from the staff. Location was perfect for us - Printers Alley was just around the corner, Broadway St., Ryman Auditorium & Food Hall an easy 10min. walk. Loved the room: everything was clean, beds were comfortable, and plenty of space. The coffee/water stations on each floor were a nice touch as well.
