The approach to Nos Hotel & Villas feels like a slow exhale. Whitewashed volumes step gently across the landscape, their clean geometry softened by bougainvillea, natural stone, and the particular quality of light that belongs to the Greek islands. The architecture speaks a familiar Cycladic language but with a quieter accent, favoring intimacy over spectacle, private corners over grand gestures. This is a property that understands how stillness, when designed well, becomes its own form of luxury.
Accommodations range from hotel rooms and suites to standalone villas, each designed with a restrained palette of linen, wood, and local stone that lets the outdoors remain the dominant presence. Villas offer expanded living spaces, private pools, and outdoor terraces where mornings unfold slowly over coffee and the kind of panoramic views that make schedules feel irrelevant. Hotel rooms and suites maintain the same material warmth on a more compact scale, with thoughtful layouts that balance openness with a sense of shelter. Throughout the property, the design ethos leans toward simplicity that rewards attention: a hand-plastered wall catching afternoon light, a stone threshold worn smooth, the careful placement of a window to frame a particular slice of sky.
Days at Nos settle into a rhythm shaped by sun and water. The pool area serves as the property's social center, a place where lounging transitions seamlessly from morning calm to late-afternoon aperitifs. Dining leans into the Mediterranean pantry with an emphasis on seasonal ingredients and the kind of straightforward preparation that lets quality speak for itself. Meals are taken in settings that blur the boundary between indoors and out, with tables arranged beneath open sky or shaded pergolas. The overall food and beverage experience feels personal rather than performative, more neighborhood taverna elevated than hotel restaurant obligatory.
The surrounding landscape invites exploration on its own terms. Beaches, villages, and the rhythms of island life are all within easy reach, offering the kind of day trips that feel spontaneous rather than itinerary-driven. Whether that means a boat to a quieter cove, a walk through narrow streets to a local market, or simply staying put and watching the Aegean shift color through the afternoon, the property positions itself as a base that never competes with its destination.
What lingers after a stay at Nos is not any single detail but a quality of unhurried attention. The sense that every surface, every sightline, every transition between shade and sun was considered with care but never overthought. It is the kind of place that trusts its setting enough to step back, and in doing so, becomes impossible to forget.

What we love about this stay
Sifnos doesn't shout for attention the way other Cycladic islands do, and NOS feels like a property that understands that quiet confidence. The design leans minimalist and light-filled, but it's the proximity to Faros Beach—close enough to feel the pull of the water without ever losing your sense of retreat—that gives the place its particular rhythm. There's a thoughtfulness in how the dining stretches across traditions, from Greek to French to American, with real consideration for dietary needs that suggests someone here actually cares about the table, not just the view. The garden and pool offer two different registers of stillness, which matters on an island where doing less is the whole point. It's a place for travelers who want Cycladic beauty without performance.

One of the best hotels ever. We had the best time at NOS in May. We stayed for 4 nights, I can not fault the experience. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, our room with a pool felt super luxury and was so clean and well thought out with amenities. The breakfast was delicious and views from the shared pool are stunning. The local area of Faros has great beaches, lovely restaurants with some of the nicest food we had during our stay and a cute cafe for sandwiches, coffee and cake too. 100% recommend NOS, we’re already planning our trip back.

The staff were so friendly and amazingly helpful, particularly the concierge, she was wonderful. The bar staff, the attendants, everyone always helpful and kind. The hotel is beautiful, pool and views amazing. The spa is fantastic, you won't find a better view, the Faro massage was one of best I've ever had...the masseuse extremely good. Our room(s) were beautiful. The only negative, pools and dipping pools were pretty chilly.
