The road to Danzante Bay traces a long, sun-bleached corridor between desert and sea, where the Sierra de la Giganta falls toward the Sea of Cortez in folds of rust and ochre. At the southern end of the Baja Peninsula, far from the resort corridors of Los Cabos, this stretch of coastline belongs to a different register entirely. The Ocean Front 3bd/3.5bth Penthouse in Danzante Bay sits at the edge of this landscape, a three-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bath residence perched above the waterline with uninterrupted views of the sea and the islands beyond.
The penthouse is designed for scale and privacy, with floor-to-ceiling windows that pull the horizon into nearly every room. Living spaces open directly onto expansive terraces, and the layout allows the kind of slow, unhurried days that this part of Baja invites. Three bedrooms provide generous separation for families or groups traveling together, each with its own en-suite bath and access to natural light. The kitchen is fully equipped for guests who want to cook with the day's catch or provisions from town, and the interiors lean toward clean, contemporary lines that let the views do most of the work. There is a sense of space here that goes beyond square footage, a feeling of openness shaped by the desert outside and the ocean just below.
Danzante Bay itself is a master-planned community along Loreto's coast, anchored by a TPC golf course that winds between desert arroyos and the sea. Guests of the penthouse have access to the community's shared amenities, including pools, beach areas, and the golf course. The waters off this coast are known for their extraordinary marine life, and activities like kayaking, paddleboarding, snorkeling, and sportfishing are part of the rhythm of any stay. The Islands of Loreto National Marine Park, a UNESCO World Heritage buffer zone, lies just offshore, its rocky islands home to sea lions, blue whales in season, and some of the most vibrant diving in the Pacific.
The town of Loreto, one of the oldest settlements on the Baja Peninsula, is a short drive north. Its malecón, colonial mission, and handful of excellent seafood restaurants offer an easy counterpoint to the quieter days spent at the penthouse. This is not a destination that demands a schedule. Mornings tend to begin on the terrace with coffee and the slow brightening of the sea. Afternoons dissolve into the pool or the shoreline. Evenings return to that same terrace, where the light over the islands shifts from gold to violet before the stars take over. The penthouse rewards those who come looking not for spectacle but for the particular stillness that only a remote coast can provide.

What we love about this stay
What strikes you first isn't the scale of the space—three bedrooms, three and a half baths, a private pool—but how quietly it all sits against the Sea of Cortez. The penthouse in Danzante Bay feels less like a rental and more like someone's deeply personal retreat in Ensenada Blanca, where neutral tones mirror the sand and the open layout keeps the ocean in your sightline no matter where you drift. There's a private entrance, which changes the psychology of arriving—no lobby, no shared hallways, just you stepping into something that already feels yours. The balcony is where the property earns its keep, offering an unobstructed relationship with the water that shifts from afternoon light to a genuinely dark, star-filled sky. It's a place built for people who want proximity to nature without sacrificing the kitchen or the thread count.

This might be the best golf course I have every played. A must play! Carlos Zamora took very good care of us ask fro him by name. Beautiful views on both the front and back 9 so you must play the full 18. The fair ways are amazing and the greens are a bit slow but that's ok with me. The entire course was very well maintained, along with a beautiful driving range. My advise: ask for Carlos Zamora, Bring balls, keep your tee shot down the middle and put straight at the hole except a few holes on the back 9.
