What we love about this stay
Request an upper-floor sea-facing room—the morning light off the Atlantic hits around 7am and turns the whole space golden, which is reason enough to skip the blackout curtains. At À Terra, don't default to dinner; breakfast is the stronger meal here. The local São Jorge cheese with still-warm bread is honest and exceptional. Book a volcanic stone massage at the spa early in your stay, not as a farewell treat—it resets your body clock and sets the rhythm for everything after. Save one afternoon to drive out to Sete Cidades; the twin lakes are thirty minutes away and best in flat, overcast light when the greens go almost electric. Come back, take the terrace at dusk, and let the quiet do its work.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism. The staff went above and beyond. We got there around 8am and check in wasn’t until about 3p.m and we were and the receptionist accommodated us to an early check in, that our room was ready. The hotel staff were very accommodating and outstanding! The food was delicious and housekeeping maintaining top standards. Location was convenient and perfect for exploring, and near all. I can’t recommend Octant Hotel enough . I will certainly be returning on my next visit !
