Station Chêne Rouge sits at the edge of Mont-Tremblant's vast forest landscape, a property built around the rhythms of the Laurentian wilderness. The architecture draws from the region's lodge tradition, with warm wood interiors, stone accents, and generous windows that frame the surrounding canopy of red oaks and conifers. Arrival here feels unhurried, a transition from highway to forest road to something that operates on a distinctly slower clock. The property functions as both a nature retreat and an activity base camp, calibrated to the seasons that define life in the Laurentians.
Accommodations range across suites and chalets, each designed to feel like a private residence within the woods. Expect clean, contemporary interiors layered with natural materials, full kitchens in select units, and living spaces oriented toward the trees. Some configurations accommodate families or groups traveling together, with multiple bedrooms and generous communal areas that encourage long evenings indoors after days spent outside. The overall sensibility is one of warmth and functionality, spaces that invite you to settle in rather than simply pass through.
The surrounding territory is the real draw. In winter, Mont-Tremblant's ski slopes are within close reach, and the property positions itself as a natural staging ground for days on the mountain. When the snow melts, hiking trails, cycling routes, and lake access take over. Station Chêne Rouge connects guests to these experiences directly, offering proximity to the region's outdoor infrastructure without the congestion of the village core. There is a deliberate quietness to the location, a sense of being embedded in the landscape rather than perched at its edge. The Laurentians have long attracted those seeking seasonal immersion, and the property understands this impulse intimately.
What lingers after a stay at Station Chêne Rouge is the particular quality of time spent between the indoors and out. Morning light through red oak branches. The return to a warm interior after hours in cold air. The unhurried cadence of a place that never competes with the forest surrounding it but instead makes room for it at every turn.

What we love about this stay
There's a particular kind of quiet that settles over a place where the wilderness isn't a backdrop but the entire point — and Station Chêne Rouge understands this deeply. Set within Québec's rugged natural landscape, it feels less like a retreat from the world and more like an honest reorientation toward it. The accommodations are designed with clear intention, honoring the terrain rather than competing with it, which gives the whole experience a groundedness that's hard to manufacture. You come here to be unhurried, to let the density of forest and sky recalibrate something internal. It's for the traveler who doesn't need distraction dressed up as luxury — just thoughtful comfort and an unbroken conversation with the land around you.

Rugged enough for a couple that does not camp. We love the outdoors we just don’t love camping. We rented the safari tent and it was perfect for the space we enjoy and having the bed with all the linens ready. The breakfast/brunch basket we purchased was so lovely. It was great to eat before our big hike. Even if you don’t love camping, I recommend trying this unique experience. The area was beautiful, we went hiking one day to come back to a plunge in the pool with a lovely view. The quiet, peaceful surrounding is what we needed to reset and give each other all our attention. Thanks for thinking of all the small details to make our getaway so perfect!

We had an amazing and beautiful 4-night stay at Station Chene Rouge. There were so many thoughtful and little details that made our stay very special. The staff were very friendly, helpful and would check-in to see if we needed anything. The facilities were always incredibly clean…you can tell how hard the staff works to create a clean and comfortable environment for their guests. I highly recommend staying here for a relaxing, view filled and grounding getaway!

Beautiful location with lovely facilities. The view over the mountains from the clubhouse is outstanding. I had a very comfy sleep in the well appointed safari tent. The hosts were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again in this marvelous place.

Christian was a great host! Went above and beyond to accommodate us. Well maintained cabin. Great facilities in the clubhouse. So many great trails all seasons in the area. Close to North Hatley which is a unique, fun village.

Depending on what kind of trip you are looking for, this is definitely a beautiful and rustic camping experience. We booked a triage cottage and it was so cozy inside. There's a little wood burning stove inside and everything you need to cook without electricity. We brought a bunch of candles and it gave it such a cozy feeling. We also had a tablet and watched a movie in bed late at night. The clubhouse is open 24hrs and you can charge any electronics if need be. Outside there was a bbq provided and of course a firepit surrounded by Adirondack chairs. We toured the grounds and looked at the other cabins and tents. The tents were GORGEOUS! While I really liked the cabin we chose, I may book one of the tents next time because I will definitely return. The environment is beautiful. If you love peace and quiet and escaping away to enjoy true nature, this is the place. It is open year round if you are truly hard core lol.
