What we love about this stay
Ask for a high-floor room facing Capitol Boulevard—the Tennessee State Capitol lit up at night is the kind of view you'll photograph and never post because you want to keep it for yourself. Arrive early enough for a drink in the lobby bar before dinner; grab one of the leather chairs near the chandeliers around six, when the golden light hits the Beaux-Arts ceiling and the crowd shifts from afternoon coffee to evening cocktails. Don't skip the restaurant—order whatever leans hardest into Southern ingredients, and trust the kitchen's instincts over the safe choices. One practical note: Broadway is loud and close, but the hotel's walls are thick. You'll sleep like the city doesn't exist, which is exactly the point of staying here rather than anywhere else in Nashville.

Historic Charm Meets Modern Luxury at Nashville’s Newly Renovated Hermitage Hotel The Hermitage Hotel is an absolute gem. We celebrated our anniversary here, and it could not have been a more perfect setting for such a special occasion. As an interior designer, I’m always seeking the well designed hotels where every detail makes guests feel relaxed, pampered, and inspired — and The Hermitage delivers on every level. Design & Atmosphere Recently renovated, the hotel’s interiors are a perfect example of timeless elegance. From the restored stained-glass ceiling and historic brass chandeliers in the lobby to the refined palette and details throughout, the craftsmanship is impeccable. Our light-filled room felt serene and indulgent, featuring plush carpets, crisp bedding, and a spacious marble bathroom. The deep soaking tub — with its sculpted armrests and smooth surface — was the most luxurious I’ve ever experienced. The renovation beautifully preserves the hotel’s historic grandeur while integrating modern comforts expected by the well-traveled guest. Service & Experience Service was equally exceptional. The staff graciously arranged a private historical tour of the property, which included a behind-the-scenes peek at Drusie & Darr, where Jean-Georges was hosting an event with celebrity photographer Tim White. When our departing flight was delayed, the team kindly extended a late checkout — a small gesture that exemplified their high level of customer service. Style & Vibe What I love most about The Hermitage is its balance — luxe without being stuffy. The ambiance feels refined yet inviting, with a sense of “cool” that evokes the effortless sophistication of the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc in the South of France. The new exhibit of Tim White’s celebrity photography adds a contemporary flair to this historic landmark. Location Perfectly situated downtown, The Hermitage is just a short walk from Broadway — the vibrant heart of Nashville’s live-music scene. We will always remember our stay at The Hermitage Hotel.

This is not only the best hotel in Nashville it is one of the very finest in anywhere. The hotel is beautiful but is is actually the staff that make it standout. The bellman and valet were particularly great. The front desk was awesome. Overall just a terrific stay. Even the general manager stopped by during cocktails to check in on our visit. Very first class experience.

Nashville Beautiful hotel, staff always on hand to welcome you, could not fault this hotel obviously a bit on the pricier side but well worth the extra money as a treat. Easy walking distance to all main attractions
