What we love about this stay

Order the shrimp and grits without hesitation. Evenings belong downstairs at the speakeasy bar; grab a seat at the far end where the light is warmest and let the mixologist choose for you — they're genuinely good at reading a mood. Request a room facing away from the street if you're a light sleeper. The real move is asking your butler to arrange a late-afternoon harbor sail, then returning just as the bar hits its stride around eight. Amazing experience! Thank you to all staff! This hotel and its staff deserves 10 stars. Incredible experience! I wish this hotel and type of service existed in every town we travel to. From the welcome, to the continuous impecable butler service, to pleasant kind friendly staff at the front desk! Emma and Wade at the front desk are friendly, professional, attentive, answered every question, offered water for our welcome, always picked up the phone and provided all details we needed throughout our stay. Dejah with afternoon service to your room offering chocolate/raspberry/caramel (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) liquor (for free), any mini bar items, bathroom items you might need (all free), she is the sweetest! Maya with housekeeping was super clean, polite, detailed and friendly! James at the door was always welcoming, helpful and available for anything you need. Everyone is always helpful, attentive and WOW friendly! Will forever come back to this place! Once you arrive to the hotel the butler comes to bring you to your room, explain every detail, complimentary mini bar, beautiful jazz music when you walk into the room makes it soo welcoming! The interior of the room was so well equipped and stylish! From blackout curtains, to modern french chic furniture, to amazing vanity set/shampoo, to local snacks! Our bulters were Darryl, Chuck and David! And they are awesomeee!!!! We were on our baby moon so they greeted us with an upgraded room and a gift! Can’t say enough great things about this hotel/staff/experience! You can choose to get complimentary breakfast (and they are super generous) in the room every morning or downstairs bar area. You choose what you would like and also the time you would like breakfast! Will come back here and recommend it to everyone!

Very impressed with the Southern hospitality at The Spectator hotel. Our butler Jim was very attentive to detail and our needs. He was always willing to assist and recommend. The staff and other butlers were very hospitable and welcoming. The hotel was close to the Market and various scenic sites and restaurants in the area. The 20's cocktail bar was always the place to be to have a drink before your night out !!!! Thank you Spectator Team !!!!
