Venice V Hotel sits just steps from the Venice Beach Boardwalk, a boutique property that channels the creative, sun-soaked energy of one of Los Angeles's most iconic neighborhoods. The architecture is clean and contemporary, with an exterior that nods to the area's artistic spirit while interiors lean into a modern coastal palette of warm neutrals, natural textures, and curated details. Arrival feels immediate and intimate, the kind of place where the lobby opens effortlessly into the rhythm of the surrounding streets, and the proximity to sand and surf registers before you've even reached your room.
Accommodations at Venice V Hotel are designed with a sense of purposeful simplicity. Rooms balance comfort with a pared-back aesthetic, featuring quality linens, modern furnishings, and the kind of natural light that only a beachside address can deliver. Select rooms offer views toward the ocean or the eclectic streetscape below, grounding you in the neighborhood's constant, easy motion. The scale of the property keeps things personal. There are no sprawling corridors or anonymous wings, just a thoughtfully composed collection of rooms that feel more like a well-edited guesthouse than a conventional hotel.
The surrounding neighborhood is the real amenity. Venice Beach's legendary boardwalk unfolds just outside the door, a parade of street performers, muralists, skaters, and vendors that has defined this stretch of the California coast for decades. Abbot Kinney Boulevard, one of the most celebrated shopping and dining streets in Los Angeles, runs nearby with its independent boutiques, galleries, and restaurants. The Venice Canals offer a quieter counterpoint, tree-lined pathways alongside still water just a short walk away. Whether you spend the morning watching surfers from the sand or browsing a neighborhood coffee shop, the property's location places you at the center of Venice's singular culture without requiring a car or a plan.
Venice V Hotel is not a place of grand gestures or orchestrated experiences. Its appeal lies in proximity and proportion, a small, design-forward hotel that understands its neighborhood well enough to step aside and let it do the talking. You come here to be in Venice, fully and without barrier, and the hotel ensures that nothing stands between you and the salt air, the golden light, and the unhurried pulse of the boardwalk just beyond the threshold.

What we love about this stay
There's a particular quality to a hotel that was something else first — a building with a life before hospitality found it. The Venice V occupies a restored 1915 landmark right on the sand, and you feel that history in the hardwood floors and the bones of the place, even as the rooms themselves are sharp and modern. It's not trying to be a beach resort, and it's not trying to be a boutique design statement — it sits somewhere more interesting, channeling the layered, slightly unruly creative energy that Venice Beach has carried for decades. The rooftop bungalow, open to both city and ocean, captures that duality perfectly. You're never far from the boardwalk's chaos, but the property itself holds a quieter line. It suits the kind of traveler who wants proximity to culture without curation, and who finds a century-old building on the Pacific more compelling than anything built last year.

Full Venice Beach immersion! We will definitely be back!! This hotel is excellent. The lobby is adorable. The rooms are cute and immaculately clean. The staff is fantastic. The coffee shop downstairs is so good. And it’s pet friendly! For a beach hotel in the heart of Venice, you can’t do better !
