Really nice place, spotless and real convenient location near cool areas on Hawthorne.

There is a particular pleasure in opening the door to a place that feels like it already belongs to you. This two-bedroom residence, managed by Stay Portland, sits in one of the city's most connected and culturally rich neighborhoods, the kind of address where coffee shops, independent boutiques, and restaurant patios line the surrounding blocks. The location is its defining feature: a home base designed for guests who want to walk out the front door and into the rhythm of Portland without needing a car or a concierge to guide them.
The residence accommodates up to four guests across two bedrooms, offering the kind of space and privacy that hotels rarely provide. The layout lends itself to couples traveling together or small families looking for room to spread out. A full kitchen invites the possibility of shopping local markets and cooking in, while the living areas offer a place to decompress after long days spent exploring the surrounding streets. The furnishings are comfortable and contemporary, reflecting the straightforward, design-conscious sensibility that Stay Portland brings to its portfolio of curated homes across the city.
Portland rewards those who wander on foot, and this residence is positioned to take full advantage. The "walk everywhere" promise is not aspirational but geographic. Restaurants, bars, parks, and cultural landmarks sit within easy reach, giving guests the freedom to discover the city at their own pace. Whether it is a morning spent at a nearby café, an afternoon browsing neighborhood shops, or an evening moving between dinner spots, the surrounding area provides a dense and varied canvas for daily exploration.
What stays with you is the ease of it all. No lobby, no key card, no formality. Just a well-kept home in a neighborhood that locals themselves choose to live in, with the kind of proximity to Portland's best that makes every hour feel unhurried and entirely your own.

There's a particular kind of ease that comes from staying in a place where the bones of a 1907 home haven't been erased but rather quietly honored — where classic architecture holds space for modern living without either one shouting over the other. This Hawthorne-adjacent retreat has that quality. It feels considered rather than decorated, lived-in rather than staged, and its proximity to one of Portland's most walkable, idiosyncratic stretches means you're never far from a good cup of coffee or a bookstore you didn't know you needed. It suits the kind of traveler who wants to feel like a temporary local rather than a guest — someone who'd rather cook with market finds than dine out every night. The real draw is the neighborhood rhythm it puts you inside, not beside.

Great and convenient place to stay in Portland. Super close to a large grocery store and plenty of eateries. Massive fan and would stay again!

AJ place was really nice and we enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was fully equipped which was a blessing.<br/>The steps going into the unit are a little steep and was not a problem for us but might be for older folks.

Loved the stay. Area was beautiful. So many stores and restaurants within a 5 minute walk, can’t get that in many places. Definitely worth every penny.
