Perfect stay in super cozy house. We loved walking to the coffee shop down the street.

There is a particular kind of ease that belongs to small houses on wide streets, where the scale of things feels immediately right. Cozy Bungalow on Washington offers exactly that: a well-kept residence with the warmth of a personal home and the practical clarity of a space designed for guests who need both rest and a place to think. The bungalow is compact but considered, with interiors that feel lived-in rather than staged, and a layout that gives every room a sense of purpose.
The private office sets this property apart from the typical vacation rental. It is a dedicated workspace within the home, separated enough from the living and sleeping areas to allow genuine focus. For travelers whose trips overlap with deadlines, or for those who simply prefer a quiet desk and a closed door, the office transforms the stay from a leisure-only proposition into something more flexible. The rest of the bungalow unfolds with the comforts you hope for in a home away from home: a well-equipped kitchen for simple meals or morning coffee, a living area that invites you to settle in, and a bedroom that prioritizes comfort over fuss. The space accommodates guests who want to cook, read, work, or simply be still without the formality of a hotel.
The character of the bungalow is rooted in its residential setting. This is not a property that announces itself with signage or a lobby. It sits among its neighbors with the quiet confidence of a place that has always been there, offering proximity to the surrounding community and its rhythms. The street-level arrival is unhurried, and the transition from outside to inside is immediate and unguarded.
What stays with you about the Cozy Bungalow on Washington is the absence of anything unnecessary. There is no performance here, no surplus of amenities designed to impress. Instead, there is a home that does what a home should do: shelter you, give you space, and let the days unfold on your own terms. The private office is the detail that makes it singular, but the feeling it leaves behind is simpler than that. It is the feeling of having had exactly enough.

There's a particular quality to a home that sits on a generous corner lot, surrounded by enough green to make you forget you're minutes from downtown — it's the feeling of being slightly apart from everything while still belonging to it. This Waco bungalow has that quiet confidence: recently refreshed with plush furniture and soft textures, it reads less like a rental and more like someone's thoughtfully kept home you've been trusted with. The dedicated office, tucked away with good natural light, suggests a stay designed for people who blur the line between working and living well. And knowing Pinewood Coffee is just steps away anchors you in the neighborhood in a way that hotel lobbies never quite manage. It's the kind of place where comfort isn't performed — it's just there, waiting for you to settle in.

It was such a good value and so clean. Lots of space and comfortable beds. It looked just like the pictures and I appreciated having toiletries in the bathroom.
