A very nice and quiet place to disconnect from the routine.<br/>We enjoyed the jacuzzi and nature.

The driveway climbs through trees before the lodge reveals itself, all warm wood and generous windows set into a hillside that feels both sheltered and expansive. Maple Hill Lodge is the kind of place that announces its character immediately: a substantial timber-frame residence designed around gathering, with cathedral ceilings that draw the eye upward and an open living space where natural light fills every corner. The architecture leans into its wooded surroundings rather than competing with them, and the result is a property that feels rooted in its landscape from the moment you step inside.
The interior centers on a great room where vaulted ceilings and exposed beams frame a living area built for lingering. A full kitchen opens to the common spaces, making meals part of the social rhythm rather than an afterthought. The accommodations are spread across the lodge with enough room for groups or families to find both togetherness and privacy. But it is the outdoor spaces that define the experience here. A dream fire pit area sits at the heart of the property's evening identity, the kind of space where conversations stretch well past sunset. Nearby, a hot tub offers a quieter counterpoint, tucked into the surroundings with views into the tree canopy. Together, these two features shape how time moves at Maple Hill Lodge: days spent exploring, evenings spent outside under open sky.
The setting itself is part of the appeal. The property sits in a wooded, elevated landscape that offers a sense of removal without true remoteness. There is a stillness here that comes from the density of trees and the gentle roll of the terrain, a natural buffer between the lodge and the wider world. Whether the surrounding area draws you out for hikes, local dining, or seasonal exploration, the lodge remains a grounding home base that rewards return as much as departure.
What stays with you about Maple Hill Lodge is the proportion of it all. The ceilings are high enough to feel grand, the fire pit close enough to feel intimate, the woods dense enough to feel secluded. It is a residence calibrated for the particular pleasure of gathering somewhere beautiful and letting the hours unspool without agenda.

There's a particular kind of quiet here that feels earned — not the manufactured stillness of a spa retreat, but the honest hush of Pennsylvania woodland doing what it's always done. Maple Hill Lodge sits in the rolling landscape near Spring Mills with a confidence that doesn't need to announce itself: the wide porch framing misty hills, the hot tub on the deck where the only company might be passing wildlife, the fire pit that becomes the evening's natural gathering point. It's a place built for people who find luxury in the absence of noise rather than the addition of polish. Penn's Creek, just two miles out, adds a quiet pull for anyone drawn to water, but you could just as easily never leave the property and feel like you'd been somewhere. The kind of stay that lingers not because anything dramatic happened, but because nothing needed to.

Our out of state children flew in for a wedding with their spouses and we all stayed at this location. All were impressed with the scenery and the cleanliness and condition of the property. We loved the privacy and felt very at home. Would highly recommend!

Great rental that is secluded but also not very far from Penn State (about 25-30 minutes).

We had a wonderful stay at the Lodge! It was easy to get to, and was a beautiful, bright and clean home. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen, and the cozy fireplace to take away the morning chill. There were lots of books, games and toys, although we didn't take advantage of them. We had great weather for sitting outside and observing the deer and birds from the deck, and enjoying the hot tub and fire pit in the evening. We also attended the Penn State game and found it a very manageable (27 minute ) trip. We hope to return again for our 2025 family PSU trip !

Cozy, private house tucked into the woods. More than enough space for our family of four. The boys loved the large TV, stuffed bobcat, and extra toys and books. It was great to have access to the deck area, hot tub, and fire pit. Keurig machine stocked with K-cups kept us caffeinated and ready to go! Appliances were updated and clean, and we appreciated being able to do a load of laundry down in the basement. Very minor downsides (not enough to warrant less than 5 stars overall): main entry door was a bit finicky to lock and unlock; there were a number of ladybugs inside the house (could be a seasonal thing?); linens and towels were worn and could use replacing; only the one TV in the main living area. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again!
