the place was beautiful and up to date with lots of space! Will be back if we need a place in the area! thanx!

The road narrows. The pace shifts. Somewhere between the last stretch of highway and the first glimpse of farmland, the landscape begins to feel unhurried in a way that settles into your shoulders. Comfort at the Commons sits within this quieter world, a spacious five-bedroom residence designed for gathering, for long mornings around a shared table, and for the kind of togetherness that only a proper house can hold.
The home itself is built for groups and families who want room to spread out without losing one another. Five bedrooms accommodate up to fourteen guests, offering flexible sleeping arrangements that suit multigenerational travel or a reunion among friends. Common areas are generous and open, with a living space that invites evening conversation and a fully equipped kitchen ready for meals prepared together. A washer and dryer, wireless internet, and climate control round out the practical comforts, while the overall layout feels residential rather than rental, with the kind of livable warmth that encourages you to settle in rather than simply pass through. Outdoor space extends the home's footprint, giving guests a place to sit with coffee in the early light or gather as the sun drops behind the treeline.
The surrounding Amish Country landscape is the true draw here. The region moves at its own tempo, defined by horse-drawn buggies, roadside farm stands, handmade goods, and a culture of simplicity that feels increasingly rare. Local shops, bakeries, and family-style restaurants are part of the fabric of any visit, and the area rewards those willing to explore its back roads and small-town rhythms. Whether you spend the day browsing artisan furniture, picking up fresh-baked pies, or simply driving through open countryside with no particular agenda, the destination itself becomes a form of rest.
Comfort at the Commons is not a place of architectural spectacle or curated design moments. It is something more fundamental: a well-kept home in a landscape that asks you to slow down, a base from which to explore a region that still values handwork and unhurried days. You return each evening to a house that feels genuinely yours for the week, where the kitchen counter holds evidence of the afternoon's discoveries and the porch holds the last of the light. What stays with you is the simplicity of it, the way a house in the right place, shared with the right people, becomes the whole point of leaving home.

There's something disarming about a place where the ambient soundtrack is hoofbeats and wind through open land. This five-bedroom home in Kidron sits quietly at the edge of Ohio's Amish country, and its charm lies in how naturally it holds the tension between modern comfort and a deliberately slower world. The interiors lean into local craftsmanship without performing it—thoughtful details rather than themed décor. A fireplace in the master bedroom, king beds dressed in quality linens, and a game table that actually gets used: it's built for groups who want proximity without pretense. Step next door for coffee, wander into town where shops and markets still carry the weight of generational making, and you start to understand—this isn't rusticity as aesthetic. It's a place shaped by a community that genuinely lives this way, and that sincerity is what lingers.

Landon's place was clean and spacious. it was exactly what my family needed since it was a last minute getaway with my daughter coming home from college for spring break. We enjoyed the scenic surroundings of the Amish area. This Airbnb was super convenient, right next to a coffee/breakfast place and a pizza place. Across the street is a nice grocery store offering everything you would need should you forget to bring something from home. Down the street is a store called Lehmans which is like a huge general store that is definitely a must see. Landon the host was super nice and checking in on us to see if we needed anything several times during the stay. Would definitely stay here again if we are ever in the area in the future.

Everything was superb. My team and I were in town for a business project and everyone was able to rest comfortably. I loved the room in the basement because it’s its own oasis. The customer service is great! I will definitely book again if ever I’m in town. Highly recommend.

Beautiful, well appointed house. Landon was easy to communicate with and responded quickly. The bonus is the great coffee shop just steps away.
