There were 10 of us for a long weekend in Charleston. This was a good location for walking or ubering to places we wanted to see. The living room and porch were the right size for all of us to gather.
Stay Duvet
There is a particular kind of welcome that announces itself before you even set your bags down. At the Sweet Tea Suite, it arrives through thoughtful touches and a warmth that feels distinctly personal, the kind of hospitality rooted in genuine care rather than grand gesture. This is a residence that understands the art of making a guest feel immediately at home, with interiors that balance comfort and character in equal measure.
The suite itself is designed for ease. The living space is open and inviting, furnished with a sense of style that feels collected rather than curated, as though each piece was chosen with a story in mind. A well-appointed kitchen gives you the freedom to settle in on your own terms, whether that means morning coffee at a leisurely pace or a simple meal prepared without fuss. The bedroom offers a restful retreat, with quality linens and a sense of quiet that encourages genuine rest. Natural light fills the space throughout the day, lending a brightness that makes even a short stay feel restorative.
What distinguishes the Sweet Tea Suite is its sense of proportion. This is not a property that overwhelms with scale or excess. Instead, it offers something increasingly rare: a space that feels genuinely considered, where every detail serves the comfort of the guest rather than the ambition of the design. The result is a residence that rewards slowing down, that invites you to linger over a second cup of coffee or spend an unhurried afternoon reading in a sunlit corner.
You leave the Sweet Tea Suite the way you might leave the home of a gracious host, quietly grateful for the ease of it all, already thinking about when you might return.

There's a particular kind of quiet grandeur that older Charleston homes carry — high ceilings and intricate moldings that remind you buildings once had real personality — and this Cannonborough estate leans into that without overcorrecting toward fussiness. Four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, means the place breathes; nobody's negotiating space or tiptoeing around someone else's morning. The scale feels residential but generous, like a home that was always meant to gather people. And being two and a half blocks from King Street puts you close enough to Charleston's best dining and wandering without living on top of it — a distinction that matters more than you'd think.

My StayDuvet experience at Sweet Tea was perfect and a much needed respite after a horrible experience with another Airbnb host. The home was beautifully decorated, extremely spacious, clean, and came with all the essential amenities we needed. It was absolutely perfect for our girlfriend's getaway trip. I would highly recommend StayDuvet and Sweet Tea!

Great place. Close to King St and very spacious. My group really enjoyed!

Lovely place for parties of 6 to 8. A lot of cookingware, comfortable beds, a table for 6 for meals which is hard to find in this area if you want to eat at home. Very convenient location to walk around. Having a parking is nice. A room close to the kitchen is perfect if someone is not able to use the stairs ...

Great location with an easy walk to King. Street was a bit noisy but that added to the charm. House clean and well equipped. Overall recommend this house and StayDuvet was extremely responsive before and during our stay.
