At its heart, The Fox features a vaulted open-concept living and dining area, where a gourmet chef’s kitchen and gas fireplace set the stage for effortless gathering, all framed by panoramic lake views. Just off the kitchen, a four-season sunroom with a vintage bar and cozy seating for four offers an intimate space to soak in the scenery.
Upstairs, three beautifully appointed lake-view bedrooms provide restful retreats: a primary en-suite king bedroom, a queen bedroom, and a charming twin bedroom, each designed with a balance of modern comfort and rustic charm.

What we love about this stay
Claim the primary king en-suite upstairs — the lake view from that room at first light, when the water is still glass, is the single best moment at The Fox. Resist the urge to linger there, though, and take your coffee down to the hidden stone terrace before anyone else wakes up. It seats two and feels like a secret. Evenings belong at the built-in firepit: the sunset over Lake Michigan hits differently when you're this close to the shoreline, no shared beach in sight. Stock the vintage bar in the sunroom before golden hour — it's where the night always ends up migrating. The whole place rewards slowness; don't overschedule.

We had an incredible time visiting my daughter & her family at the Fox House. The view of the lake is amazing. We enjoyed fishing, drinking coffee at sunrise, bocce, corn hole & cooked s’mores on the fire pit. My husband enjoyed cooking on the grill. We played board games when it was raining. We took leisurely walks to the beach & sheep farm. Sara thought of everything. She was a great host. We would love to come back next year during summer time & stay longer.<br/>We thoroughly enjoyed everything that Fox House had to offer.

This house was a perfect getaway! The home is cozy, the view is amazing, and it was easy to get to. Our family had plenty of space and felt at home the whole time. Sara is a WONDERFUL host. She let us check in early, sent many recommendations of things to do, and was very responsive to my questions. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

I almost don't want to write a great review because I want this place to be a secret it is so nice! Ha! The setting is awesome, totally private right on the Lake Michigan coastline with non-stop waves setting the tone. If you follow Sara's social media it is exactly what is promoted. Very nice design details, professional kitchen and more than enough space to relax. Highly recommend this location at any time of the year!
