Stay Duvet
There is a particular pleasure in arriving at a space that has been considered rather than simply furnished. The Thomas Jr Suite welcomes you with that sense of intentionality, a residence where every detail feels chosen with care and nothing feels accidental. Clean lines, a warm palette, and a layout that breathes. This is not a place that announces itself loudly. It earns your attention through proportion, comfort, and a quiet confidence in its own design.
The suite is built around livability. A well-appointed kitchen invites you to settle in, whether that means morning coffee at the counter or a full evening meal prepared at your own pace. The living area offers generous space to unwind, read, or simply do nothing in particular. The bedroom is thoughtfully separated, granting a sense of privacy and retreat that so many short-term residences overlook. Bedding is plush without being theatrical. Natural light moves through the space with ease, shifting the mood from morning energy to evening calm. Practical touches, like reliable Wi-Fi, quality toiletries, and climate control, are handled without fuss. The result is a residence that functions beautifully whether you are staying for a weekend or stretching into a longer chapter.
What distinguishes the Thomas Jr Suite from a standard rental is its sense of personality. There is a curator's eye at work here, visible in the interplay of textures, the restraint of the decor, and the small gestures that suggest someone genuinely thought about what a guest might want rather than what a listing might need. It is the kind of space that makes you want to leave your suitcase open a little longer, to let your schedule soften, to take the city at a pace that feels entirely your own.
You leave the Thomas Jr Suite the way you arrived, quietly and with a sense of something well spent. Not the spectacle of a grand hotel lobby, not the anonymity of a corporate apartment, but something more personal. A residence that understood the assignment: make a traveler feel less like a visitor, and more like someone who belongs.

What strikes you here isn't grandeur for its own sake — it's the quiet conviction of a place that's been restored with real feeling for Charleston's layered history. Three bedrooms, four baths, soaring ceilings, and bespoke finishes, yet it reads less like a showpiece and more like a home that simply belongs on this street, among the ironwork and Carolopolis-awarded facades of Cannonborough-Elliotborough. The scale is generous enough for a gathering of people you actually want to be around, and the gourmet kitchen becomes the kind of room where meals turn into long, unhurried conversations. Steps from King Street's energy but set back just enough to feel private, the Thomas Jr Suite occupies that rare sweet spot — deeply rooted in its neighborhood yet entirely its own.

This historic house is beautiful and it has been remodeled nicely. The apartment is 3 stories, well actually 4. First floor is just a foyer and laundry room. Second floor is 1.5 baths, kitchen, living room, and a bedroom. The third floor is bedrooms, and then there is a spiral staircase to a 4th floor sitting area and bathroom. There is a balcony off the kitchen and one off the 3rd floor, both with plenty of seating. There is a large table with seating and a porch swing on the kitchen's balcony. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance. Parking at the church was easy.

Absolutely perfect space for 3 couples (although we just had a family of 3). The house is 4 stories and very large. Lots of spaces to spread out, my favorite was the 2 extremely large outdoor porches to relax on. From a huge dining table to a porch swing, this is the area you will find yourself at the most. Beautifully decorated with a gorgeous kitchen with all the amenities. All the beds and furniture was extremely comfortable and plenty seating for a crowd. Nice neighborhood and comes with 2 parking spaces that are close by. Within walking distance are plenty of breakfast, lunch and dinner spots and local coffee shops that are delicious. Also little stores that sell wine and provisions are walkable. 10 minute walk to King Street for shopping and a 8 minute drive to the Market area. I highly recommend this Airbnb!
