Amazing house! Has a garage which is rare in Malibu. Tall ceilings with gorgeous views from living room and dining room. Everything was perfect.

Villa Bahia by Stay Awhile Villas opens with the kind of first impression that recalibrates the pace of everything that follows. The architecture is warm and expansive, built to let light pour through open living spaces and frame the surrounding tropical landscape from nearly every vantage point. Walls of glass and wide terraces dissolve the line between indoors and out, creating a residence that feels less like a vacation rental and more like a private retreat designed around the rhythms of slow, sun-filled days.
The villa's layout is generous and considered. Bedrooms are positioned for privacy, each with its own en-suite bathroom and access to outdoor space. The primary suite anchors the home with a sense of calm proportion, while additional rooms offer guests or families the room to spread out without compromising intimacy. Common areas flow naturally from a fully equipped kitchen through an open-plan living and dining space, arriving at a covered outdoor terrace that serves as the true center of daily life. A private pool sits at the heart of the grounds, flanked by sun loungers and framed by lush greenery. It is the kind of setting where mornings begin with coffee poolside and afternoons pass without agenda.
The kitchen is designed for more than convenience. Spacious countertops, modern appliances, and a dining area large enough for the full group make it easy to cook in or host a private chef for the evening. The outdoor grill and al fresco dining area extend the possibilities further, especially as the light shifts in the late afternoon. Air conditioning throughout ensures comfort during the warmest hours, while the natural cross-ventilation and shaded outdoor spaces invite you back outside as soon as the heat softens.
Villa Bahia is managed by Stay Awhile Villas, a collection known for pairing thoughtfully appointed homes with attentive concierge service. The team can arrange everything from airport transfers and grocery provisioning to local excursions and in-villa spa treatments, ensuring the stay feels seamless from arrival. What remains when the trip is over is not a list of amenities but a feeling: the particular stillness of a private home where every detail has been quietly handled, where the pool catches the last of the daylight, and where the days, unhurried and warm, leave you genuinely reluctant to return to anything resembling a schedule.

What strikes you here isn't the luxury itself — it's how completely the architecture surrenders to the ocean. The open-concept layout and floor-to-ceiling glass don't frame the Pacific so much as refuse to separate you from it, and the RH Modern furnishings keep things clean enough that the water remains the main character. There's a rare quality to a place where indoor and outdoor genuinely blur — where your morning coffee happens on plush outdoor seating with surfers and the occasional dolphin in your sightline, and evenings drift toward a fire pit as waves provide the only soundtrack you need. Direct access to Big Rock Beach means sand is seconds away, not a production. It's the kind of Malibu stay that feels personal rather than performative, eight miles from Santa Monica but atmospherically a world apart.

What a spectacular home and location. Right on the ocean, but access to private beach. Not far from food and sites and the “stay awhile” staff was friendly and helpful, would stay again.
