We spent a weekend at “The Perch” and loved every minute! The host was very nice and very responsive. I loved how the kitchen had cookware we were able to use. The views were great as well. We’ll definitely be staying again!

The approach tells you everything. The road climbs, the trees thin, and then the sky opens wide in every direction. The Perch earns its name honestly. Set at elevation with panoramic sightlines that roll outward across layered ridgelines, this is a property defined by its relationship to the landscape. The architecture is clean and purposeful, designed to frame the outdoors rather than compete with it. Large windows pull the horizon inside, and the overall impression on arrival is one of openness, altitude, and deep, satisfying quiet.
The home is outfitted for comfort without excess. Living spaces are warm and well-considered, with enough room to gather without losing the intimacy that makes a smaller property feel personal. The kitchen is fully equipped for guests who want to cook their own meals, and the outdoor grill extends the experience beyond the walls of the house. But it is the fire pit that anchors the evenings here. Positioned to take full advantage of the surrounding views, it becomes the natural gathering point once the sun drops and the sky shifts through its final colors. There is something unhurried about the rhythm of a place like this, where the best moments happen without a schedule.
Outdoors, the property rewards those who simply want to be present. Morning coffee on the deck. Afternoon light warming the open-air spaces. The grill fired up as the shadows lengthen. The Perch is not a place of elaborate programming or curated itineraries. Its appeal is simpler and harder to replicate: unobstructed views, fresh air, and the kind of stillness that recalibrates your sense of time. The surrounding landscape invites exploration on its own terms, whether that means hiking nearby trails, driving scenic roads, or simply staying put and watching the weather move across the valley.
What stays with you after a visit to The Perch is not any single detail but a feeling of proportion. The scale of the sky against the warmth of the fire. The spaciousness of the view against the coziness of the interiors. It is a place that asks very little of you and gives back something quietly generous in return.

There's a particular quality to a place where 300 acres of forest and rolling hills sit just outside your window, and the interior doesn't try to compete with it — just frames it well. The Perch has that kind of restraint: rustic wood finishes that feel honest rather than styled, large windows that let the Pennsylvania landscape do the talking. It's a cabin that earns the word, with enough space and quietude to make a few days feel genuinely restorative. What lingers is the shift in pace — evenings around the fire pit, the simplicity of cooking a meal with local ingredients, the hot tub under open sky. It's built for people who want proximity to wildness without roughing it, and who understand that the best version of luxury sometimes looks like solitude, good land, and very little agenda.

Booked The Perch for a cousins’ cabin trip and it was unbelievable! Beautiful scenery, spotless accommodations, and the hot tub was amazing even in the snow this weekend. Definitely looking forward to returning. Landon was very proactive and responsive to any questions we had.
