we celebrated a bachelorette and had a very peaceful and relaxing time. the hot tub was great, we loved grilling and hanging out on the porch. beds were super comfortable and kitchen was very functional for all our home cooked needs.

The Sugar Grove Log Cabin announces itself the way the best rural retreats do: quietly, and all at once. A handcrafted log structure sits nestled among trees, its timber frame carrying the honest weight of something built to last. The porch stretches wide enough to hold a conversation or a silence, and the surrounding landscape unfolds in every direction with the kind of unhurried green that makes you forget you ever checked your phone.
Inside, the cabin opens into a generous living space where vaulted ceilings and exposed log walls set a tone that feels both rugged and deeply comfortable. A stone fireplace anchors the main room, and the kitchen is fully equipped for the kind of cooking that vacation makes possible: slower, more generous, with everyone nearby. A pool table occupies its own corner of the cabin, becoming the natural gathering point on evenings when no one is ready for the night to end. The bedrooms are warmly appointed, offering enough space and privacy that the cabin works equally well for families, friends, or couples sharing a long weekend. Throughout, the interiors lean into the character of the structure itself, with wood tones, warm textiles, and a straightforward sense of comfort that never tries to be something it isn't.
Outside, a hot tub sits ready beneath open sky, and it quickly becomes the cabin's most persuasive amenity. There is something about soaking in warm water after a day spent outdoors that resets the body's clock entirely. The surrounding property offers room to roam, space for kids to explore, and the kind of quiet that lets birdsong become the dominant sound by mid-morning. The area around Sugar Grove rewards those who come looking for natural beauty without crowds, with hiking trails, scenic drives, and small-town charm within easy reach.
What stays with you after a few days at the Sugar Grove Log Cabin is the particular rhythm it encourages. Mornings begin slowly, with coffee on the porch. Afternoons drift between exploration and deliberate idleness. Evenings gather everyone back around the fireplace or the pool table, and the hot tub closes out the night under a sky that feels wider and darker than the one you left behind. It is a place that asks very little of you and gives back something surprisingly generous in return.

There's a specific kind of quiet that belongs to a place built from hand-prepared logs — not silence exactly, but a hush that feels earned, like the woods around Huntingdon decided to let you in on something. Sugar Grove has that quality. The craftsmanship reads as genuine rather than decorative, and the pine scent that greets you isn't a candle — it's the cabin itself. What strikes you is how the space manages to feel both enclosed and expansive, the gas stove warming the interior while the forest presses gently against the windows. The hot tub and fire pit sit outside not as amenities but as invitations to stay present after dark. It's the kind of place that suits people who want to cook a real dinner, linger over a pool table game, and sleep deeply without setting an alarm — a retreat that doesn't perform relaxation but simply allows it.

Nice secluded property, we celebrated my granddaughters 14th birthday by grilling outside & cooking in the kitchen. We brought a lot of our own (indoor & games) but also enjoyed the pool table. The hot tub was nice, we sat around the fire pit every night & made smores & lots of memories. The kitchen was spacious enough but could have had bigger pots for a cabin of 9. We had to buy a big pot & skillet. The deck was spacious. The beds were comfortable except the pull out loveseat in the loft; the springs are poking out & very uncomfortable so we use a air mattress in place of it. All of the rest of the beds & furniture were very comfortable. Overall we enjoyed every inch of this property, both indoors & outdoors. We had a brief issue with the AC in the loft and although Landon was quick to respond and said he'd get in touch with maintenance. Nobody came to see about the AC which was frustrating because it was 96° in the loft. It did however start working and got nice & cool.

My family and I had the best time at the cabin! Beautiful setting and beautiful home. We couldn’t ask for a better host, Landon was helpful from the day we reserved, and very responsive. It was a perfect getaway!

The cabin was as described with all the amenities required for an enjoyable stay. The location was fantastic for stargazing and watching the local wildlife. We watched 5 baby deer playing in the backyard. Enjoyed our stay and Landon was responsive to any questions. Will stay here in the future.
