Good apartment in a great location. Very clean and host was responsive and friendly.

There is a particular pleasure in staying somewhere that feels lived in rather than staged. Historic Nob Hill 2BR occupies a building with genuine architectural character in one of Portland's most beloved neighborhoods, where tree-lined blocks give way to independent shops, cafes, and restaurants within easy walking distance. The residence carries the kind of unhurried warmth that only comes from a place rooted in its surroundings, offering two bedrooms and the sort of spatial generosity that hotels rarely afford.
The layout unfolds with a natural domesticity. A full kitchen anchors the living space, giving you the freedom to cook with ingredients sourced from nearby markets or simply brew morning coffee at your own pace. The furnishings balance comfort with a sense of history, and the overall atmosphere leans toward the personal rather than the polished. Windows frame the neighborhood's streetscape, connecting you to the rhythm of Nob Hill without requiring you to step outside. It is the kind of place where you settle in quickly, where shoes come off and plans loosen.
Nob Hill, also known as the Northwest District, is Portland's premier walking neighborhood. NW 23rd and NW 21st avenues run through its center, lined with boutiques, bookstores, bakeries, cocktail bars, and some of the city's most respected restaurants. Forest Park, one of the largest urban forests in the country, sits just to the west, offering miles of forested trails that feel worlds removed from the city. The neighborhood rewards those who explore on foot, and this residence places you squarely in the middle of it all, close enough to feel the energy but tucked away enough to rest.
Managed by Stay Portland, the property is designed for guests who prefer the independence of a private home paired with the reliability of professional hospitality. Whether you are in town for a long weekend or an extended stay, Historic Nob Hill 2BR offers something increasingly rare in travel: a sense of genuine belonging to the place you are visiting, shaped not by luxury amenities but by the neighborhood itself and the quiet comfort of a well-kept home.

What gets you here isn't the apartment itself — it's the way it sits quietly below street level while one of Portland's most walkable neighborhoods hums just outside. There's a groundedness to it, literally and otherwise. The lower-level placement keeps things cool and unhurried, a counterweight to the energy of NW 23rd Avenue's boutiques and bistros steps away. Inside, the design reads as considered rather than showy — two bedrooms each with their own bath, a kitchen that actually invites cooking, the kind of space that rewards staying in as much as going out. It suits the traveler who wants to live briefly inside a neighborhood rather than observe it from a hotel lobby. Nob Hill's leafy blocks and local-market culture seep into the rhythm of your days here, and the apartment becomes less a base camp than a quiet participant in the whole experience.

My stay at Jordan’s was brief but he was a great host. I loved being able to walk around in Portland and even take a jog to the nearby park. I had a great time.

This basement apartment was perfect for our needs while in Portland. The unit was as described in the listing. Beds were super comfortable and the heaters in the bedrooms were awesome, able to control the temp of each bedroom separately. We made good use of the kitchen although I will note there wasn’t a freezer included in the kitchen. We were concerned about parking, but there was plenty of street parking available conveniently located close to the apartment. We were never far from where we wanted to go within Portland and the price point was perfect for what we needed while visiting the area.
