What we love about this stay
Head to Cartopia after 10pm — the food cart pod glows like a little carnival, and the grilled PB&J from PBJ's Grilled hits differently when the night air is cool and the crowd thins. For dinner, don't wing it at Apizza Scholls: arrive twenty minutes before they open or you'll wait an hour for a table. It's worth the discipline. Save a morning for Mt. Tabor — climb to the reservoir at the summit just after sunrise, when fog sits in the valley and downtown Portland looks like it's floating. On your way back, duck into the Hawthorne boutiques before noon, when the shops are quiet and the owners actually talk to you. The Little Tower works best as a launchpad, not a cocoon — spend your time outside and let the neighborhood do the heavy lifting.

My husband and I stayed here for just one night. We were in the area for a wedding and had time to be in Portland for a day. This was a great unit! Lots of space. The best part is the location. There’s so many good eats that are a walkable 10min distance. We felt super safe walking even at night.

We really enjoyed at stay at Daniel’s apartment. It’s in a great location with lots of shops, food, and drinks within walking distance. The apartment was comfy and homey and offered everything that we needed. Daniel was very friendly and communicable, and quick to respond. Would highly recommend this space and Daniel!

I lived near Daniel's place previously, so was glad to find a perfect spot for my four-night stay. Daniel's place had everything I needed, while being in the wonderful, walkable Hawthorne neighborhood. Even though it's a busy area with restaurants, shops and lots of people out and about, the apartment was very quiet. Daniel was super-responsive and checked in with me several times to make sure everything was okay. The price was very affordable for a good-sized apartment with a living room/eating area/full kitchen and upstairs bedroom. Daniel made it easy to drop my bag off before the regular check-in time and to check out a bit later. Will definitely stay here again when I'm visiting family and friends in Portland.

The location is AMAZING - perfect if you're looking for a quiet residential stay that is within walking distance to some great cafes and restaurants. Daniel was super helpful and communicative. Everything about this stay was easy, we had a car and always found parking within two blocks of the house.
