Great host and home. The amenities were top notch, nothing was done cheap! The only negative is it's a bit noisy from the road noise. Again, would stay here anytime!

The Isaac Bahney Homestead announces itself the way only a genuinely old house can. Built in the early nineteenth century, this stone residence carries the weight of its years in thick limestone walls, wide-plank floors, and ceilings that speak to an era when homes were constructed to outlast generations. The restoration honors that inheritance without embalming it. Original architectural bones remain visible throughout, while the interiors have been updated with comfort and warmth that make the house feel less like a museum piece and more like a place you might never want to leave.
The homestead accommodates groups generously, with multiple bedrooms spread across the property's living spaces. Common areas are designed for gathering, with open kitchens, dining spaces large enough for long meals, and living rooms anchored by period details. But the real draw may be what lies beyond the doors. A private pool sits on the grounds, offering a place to settle into the long hours of a summer afternoon, while a hot tub extends the season and the day well past sundown. The outdoor spaces feel integral to the experience here, with enough room to spread out, fire up a grill, or simply sit with a drink and watch the light change across the landscape. Inside, modern conveniences like updated bathrooms and well-equipped kitchens ensure the historic character never comes at the cost of function.
The surrounding Pennsylvania countryside provides a quieter kind of destination. This is not a property defined by proximity to nightlife or urban attractions but by the rolling farmland, small towns, and rural rhythms that surround it. The region rewards those who arrive with an appetite for slower days, whether that means exploring local markets, driving back roads, or simply staying put and letting the homestead itself become the destination. There is a particular pleasure in waking up inside walls that have stood for two centuries, walking out to a pool that glimmers in the morning sun, and realizing that the day has no agenda beyond your own.
The Isaac Bahney Homestead offers something increasingly rare in the vacation rental landscape: genuine history paired with genuine comfort, scaled for groups who want to be together without being on top of one another. It is a house that rewards presence. The stone holds the cool of the morning. The pool catches the warmth of the afternoon. The hot tub holds the last conversations of the night. And somewhere between all of it, the particular satisfaction of staying somewhere that feels both deeply rooted and entirely yours.

There's a particular quality to staying in a home that has lived through centuries and been brought back with real intention — not as a museum piece, but as somewhere you actually want to settle into. The Isaac Bahney Homestead has that quality. Wood and stone carry the weight of the original architecture, but the spaces feel warm rather than precious, the kind of place where you leave your shoes by the door and lose track of the afternoon. It sits in Myerstown, which is quiet enough that evenings belong entirely to you, yet close enough to Lancaster County and Hershey that day trips feel effortless. The saltwater pool in the private backyard is an unexpectedly generous touch for a historic property — a detail that signals this isn't about austerity or nostalgia, but about comfort that happens to have roots. It's best suited to a group that wants togetherness without the performance of a resort, where the house itself becomes the gathering place.

The Isaac Bahney Homestead was a great place to stay. Recently renovated, it was obvious the owner didn’t cut corners, as everything felt sturdy and high quality. The house was extremely clean, large, well furnished and equipped with some extras, such as snacks and games. Our party had 9 people total (4 adults, 4 kids and a toddler) and we never felt cramped as the house has a lot of rooms, and large spaces to convene. The downstairs was great for the kids. The backyard was very nice, including a patio with a retractable electric awning, and an in-ground pool and hot tub. The host was responsive and helpful.
The house itself was part of a cluster of tightly-wedged houses, but the backyard was very spacious and had a remote feeling despite the close proximity. The only negative was that the house is situated on a busy street with a lot of traffic, which can lead to some noise, particularly if you are staying in the ground floor room. Other than that, nothing but good things to say.

We loved our stay in Myerstown. The house was clean with plenty of room and lots of thoughtful touches. We had a lot of fun using the pool and got tub. There is even a nice park walking distance from the home with park equipment and a poll and water slides. I would definitely recommend!

One of the best air bnbs we’ve stayed in! The house was big and comfortable for 3 families. The pool was beautiful and salt water and the hot tub worked great. We spent our trip going to Hershey park and other local activities but enjoyed most our time at the house. Would definitely come back!

We had an amazing stay and would definitely stay again!
The area was nice to walk around, and the people living around the area are super nice.
