Stay Duvet
There is a particular kind of ease that only comes when a home is built with togetherness in mind. The Waltz is a spacious private residence designed to accommodate large groups, offering the kind of generous layout where everyone can spread out without losing the thread of connection. Common areas are open and inviting, scaled for real gatherings rather than polite proximity. The architecture leans into livability, with wide rooms, ample seating, and a flow between indoor and outdoor spaces that encourages the group to move naturally through the day.
The kitchen anchors much of the communal rhythm here. It is built for actual cooking, with enough counter space and equipment that multiple people can work side by side, turning meal preparation into one of the trip's quieter pleasures. Dining areas seat the full group comfortably, making shared meals feel unhurried and unforced. Living spaces are furnished for long evenings of conversation, games, or the kind of comfortable silence that only comes when people know each other well. Bedrooms are spread thoughtfully throughout the home, giving guests privacy and breathing room even in a full house.
The Waltz rewards the group that wants to be together on their own terms. Morning coffee on the patio while others sleep in. An afternoon where half the group leaves to explore and the rest stays behind to read. A late dinner that stretches into the night because nobody has anywhere else to be. The residence provides the stage, but the rhythm belongs entirely to whoever is staying.
What stays with you after a trip like this is rarely the property itself but the version of your group that it allowed you to become. The Waltz gives large parties something difficult to find elsewhere: a home that fits, where no one feels like a guest and no one has to compromise. It is the kind of place where the best moments are unplanned, where the house simply holds space for whatever the group needs it to be.

There's a particular quality to staying somewhere that feels like a home someone actually thought about — not a staged set, but a space where the proportions, the light, the palette all suggest someone cared deeply about how a room makes you feel. The Waltz has that. Set in Cannonborough, just off the gravity of King Street, it holds a kind of generous calm: sun-filled rooms with high ceilings, a design sensibility that leans elegant without being stiff, and enough space for a group to spread out and still come together around the kitchen or dining table. It's the kind of place that suits a reunion, a celebration, a week where everyone's under one roof and nobody feels crowded. Charleston's cobblestones and oak-lined streets are right outside, but the real pull is how natural it feels to linger inside.

We had the best time at Taylor’s place! The place was decorated amazing and each room had stylish, unique touches. Great location and not too far from King! I would highly recommend staying here if you have a bigger group of gals! We all really enjoyed it.

The Waltz was everything that we thought it would be! The beds and bedding were very comfortable!
The location was very convenient for all of our destinations!
Very well appointed with glassware and kitchen utensils.
The only negative that we would offer suggestions are that 2 of the bedrooms did not have a closet. Made it challenging to unpack for a 4 day weekend! We used a ladder rack that was in one of the baths to solve that problem.
Taylor was wonderful to work with!
Thank you for a wonderful trip to Charleston!
