Stay Duvet
There is a particular pleasure in staying not beside a city's most storied street but directly above it. The Edisto Suite places you on King Street itself, Charleston's legendary corridor of galleries, restaurants, and independent boutiques, in a location that collapses the distance between where you sleep and where the city truly lives. This is not a retreat from Charleston. It is an immersion in it, with the comfort and privacy of a well-appointed residence waiting just one flight up from the sidewalk.
The suite is a one-bedroom residence designed for two, with a layout that balances openness with intimacy. A full kitchen anchors the living space, equipped for mornings when you'd rather brew your own coffee than join the brunch crowds below. The bedroom is set apart, offering a restful counterpoint to the energy of the street outside. Clean, contemporary furnishings keep the space feeling light and uncluttered, and thoughtful touches throughout suggest a host who understands the difference between a vacation rental and a place that actually feels considered. Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and in-unit laundry round out the practical details, making the Edisto Suite equally suited to a long weekend or an extended stay.
King Street hardly needs an introduction, but its character shifts block by block, and this stretch sits in the Upper King district, where Charleston's dining and nightlife scene is at its most concentrated. Step outside and you are within walking distance of some of the city's most celebrated restaurants, craft cocktail bars, and local shops. The broader peninsula is just as accessible on foot, with the historic district, waterfront parks, and the Charleston City Market all reachable without a car. This is a neighborhood that rewards wandering, and staying here means you can do so at whatever pace suits the day.
What the Edisto Suite offers is something increasingly rare in Charleston: a genuine sense of place without the formality of a hotel or the anonymity of a generic rental. You return at the end of the evening to a space that feels like your own corner of the city, quiet enough to rest, close enough to everything that nothing feels like an effort. It is Charleston distilled into a single, well-placed address.

What stays with you here is the tension between contemporary polish and the lived-in character of Cannonborough-Elliotborough — a neighborhood that doesn't perform Charleston so much as quietly inhabit it. The Edisto Suite leans into that duality, mixing modern design with historic texture in a way that feels considered rather than decorated. Warm tones, natural light through large windows, and an open living space that breathes — it reads less like a rental and more like someone's very well-edited home. The gourmet kitchen is genuinely inviting, the kind of space that makes you want to cook rather than go out, and the small balcony offers a moment of pause before you step into King Street's energy. It's a place that suits people who want proximity to everything but a quiet, private retreat to return to.

The best location you could ask for! Super clean and also very responsive to our needs. Will 100% be staying here again next time I’m in Charleston

A great place for a family of 4. Air conditioning was confusing but not for lack of StayDuvet attempting to help via signage. King Street is right there but not loud.

Great location within walking distance of shops, restaurants and attractions. The space was clean, comfortable and surprisingly quiet for being on King street. Hosts were very friendly and checked in with us several times to make sure our stay was going well. I would definitely recommend staying here!
