Beautiful and well appointed house with great outdoor space and a swimming pool. We and our son's family loved staying in this lovely home in this friendly and walkable beach community.

The front door opens and the house exhales. Light fills the living spaces in broad, easy strokes, and beyond the windows, the familiar hum of a beach town settles into the background. The Ohana House is a vacation rental designed for the kind of gathering that needs room to breathe, a place where family and friends spread out across generous common areas while the private pool glimmers just steps away. Managed by Duvet, a boutique rental company specializing in elevated coastal homes, the property carries the warmth its name suggests. Ohana, after all, means family.
The house itself is built for comfortable living at a leisurely pace. Interiors are bright and contemporary, with an open-plan kitchen and living area that anchors the ground floor. The kitchen is fully equipped for home-cooked meals, which matters when you have a group and want to linger over breakfast or pull together a seafood dinner after a day on the sand. Multiple bedrooms offer enough space for larger parties to settle in without crowding, and the layout encourages both togetherness and the occasional quiet retreat to a private corner. The private pool is the centerpiece of outdoor life here, a luxury uncommon in beach rental homes, and one that redefines the rhythm of the day. Mornings might start poolside with coffee. Afternoons drift between the water and the lounge chairs. Evenings cool down with a swim before heading out or firing up the grill.
Folly Beach sits just outside Charleston, South Carolina, a barrier island with a personality distinct from its more polished neighbor. The vibe here leans toward the relaxed and the unpretentious. Local restaurants, surf shops, and beach bars line Center Street, and the beach itself stretches wide and welcoming. The proximity to Charleston means world-class dining, historic architecture, and a thriving arts scene are all within a short drive, but many guests find that once they've settled into The Ohana House, there's less reason to leave than they expected. The island has its own gravitational pull.
What stays with you after a week here is the way the days lose their edges. The pool becomes the gathering point. The kitchen becomes the restaurant. The porch becomes the bar. The Ohana House doesn't try to replicate a hotel experience. It offers something more personal, a home that happens to be steps from the Atlantic, with a pool that catches the late afternoon light and a layout that makes everyone feel like they belong. It is the kind of place where you start planning the return trip before you've packed your bags.

What sets this Folly Beach house apart is the way it balances polish with warmth — it's clearly designed with intention, but it doesn't feel precious. The open layout lets light move through the space in a way that keeps everything feeling relaxed, even with the high-end finishes. It's a house built for gathering, for cooking long meals in a serious kitchen and drifting outside to the pool and garden without the evening losing its thread. Three blocks from the sand, you're close enough to feel the beach but removed enough to enjoy genuine quiet. And with Charleston a short drive away, there's a rare duality here — coastal stillness and city energy, available in the same trip. It's the kind of place that rewards a group who wants togetherness without compromise.

This place is absolutely stunning with exceptional well appointed decor. It’s bright, modern, upscale and has everything you need to make a wonderful vacation. The management team was super helpful and created an itinerary of recommended places to eat on Folly Beach and downtown Charleston. We rented golf carts and electric bikes that made getting around the Island easy and fun. We would definitely rent this home again and recommend to our friends.

This property is amazing. The pictures match exactly what you could expect. If not more. We have stayed on Folly Beach a lot and this is the nicest property we have seen available for lease. Location is perfect. Four blocks to the beach and two blocks to Center Street. This place definitely summarizes “you get what you pay for”. Highly recommended.
