Great location for downtown Chicago. Great views from the room

The Penthouse at Grand Plaza
The elevator climbs past dozens of floors before the doors open and the city unfolds. At the 50th floor, Chicago reveals itself not as a streetscape but as a panorama, a sweep of steel and glass and lakefront that extends in every direction. This is 50th Floor Mag Mile VIEWS, a private residence perched high above one of the city's most iconic corridors, where floor-to-ceiling windows transform the living space into something closer to an observation deck than a conventional apartment.
The unit is designed for comfort at altitude. A private balcony extends the interior outward, offering open-air access to the skyline and a vantage point that shifts character throughout the day, from the morning light catching the lake to the amber glow of the city after dark. Inside, the space is clean and contemporary, furnished for both relaxation and function. The layout accommodates guests with a sense of ease, and the kitchen is equipped for those who prefer to cook with the skyline as a backdrop rather than dine out every evening.
Building amenities anchor the experience beyond the unit itself. A pool provides a place to unwind without leaving the property, while a fitness center offers the practicality of a full gym for those who want to maintain their routine. These shared spaces complement the privacy of the residence, giving guests flexibility in how they structure their days.
The Magnificent Mile sits directly below, one of Chicago's defining stretches of architecture, shopping, and dining. From this address, the city's cultural landmarks, riverfront restaurants, and lakefront parks are all within close reach. The location places you at the center of the action while the elevation keeps you comfortably removed from it. What lingers is the particular stillness of being fifty stories up in a city that never quite settles, the sense that the entire metropolis is laid out for you, visible but unhurried, close but never crowding.

There's something quietly thrilling about standing fifty floors above the Magnificent Mile — not visiting it, but hovering above it, the whole restless grid of Chicago laid out through floor-to-ceiling glass like a living painting that shifts with the weather. The interiors lean into that sense of elevation with light tones and natural materials that don't compete with the view, which is smart, because nothing in the room should try to outshine that skyline. It's a residence that feels genuinely designed for people who want the city close but on their own terms — a balcony for when you need the air, a kitchen refined enough to make staying in feel like a deliberate choice rather than a compromise. The seasonal drama of Chicago plays out right at eye level here, and that constant, slow transformation of the cityscape is the kind of detail that makes a stay feel less like a visit and more like a brief, private chapter of life in a remarkable city.

This place was so nice. We were walks away from many attractions and only and average of 20$ ride share away from anything else. The pool area was really nice as well, friendly onsite staff.

Central location for exploring the city. Great view and loved having a grocery store so close during freezing temperatures. Terrific sunset view!
