Great place. Easy to get to trail heads and Breckenridge.

Skiers Right Lodge announces itself the way the best mountain houses do: not with grandeur, but with the satisfying weight of a heavy door closing behind you and the warmth that follows. This is a residence scaled for gathering, a proper ski lodge where the architecture leans into its alpine setting with the kind of honest materiality that makes cold-weather living feel like a privilege rather than something to endure.
The lodge accommodates groups with the space and flexibility of a private home, offering multiple bedrooms configured for families, friends, or multi-generational trips where everyone needs room to breathe. Common areas anchor the experience, with living spaces designed around the post-mountain ritual of regrouping, warming up, and settling in for the evening. A full kitchen invites communal cooking, and the layout encourages the kind of unhurried togetherness that hotels rarely achieve. This is the architecture of a real house, not a hospitality product dressed as one. Guests control their own rhythm here. Mornings start when they start. Dinners happen on your own terms.
Managed by Haute Haus Alma, Skiers Right Lodge sits within reach of the terrain that defines the area's reputation among serious winter travelers. The surrounding landscape is defined by high-altitude geography, where snowfall is measured in feet rather than inches and the mountains carry that particular stillness that arrives above the tree line. This is not a resort town experience wrapped in convenience. It is a working mountain destination where the seasons dictate the character of every day, and the lodge positions you squarely within that world.
What stays with you after a few nights at Skiers Right Lodge is something closer to a feeling than a feature. It is the particular satisfaction of a house that does exactly what it was built to do: shelter you well, gather the people you came with, and put you close enough to the mountain that the distance between your door and the snow feels like it barely exists at all.

There's a particular quiet that comes with elevation — not silence exactly, but a thinning out of everything unnecessary. Skier's Right Lodge sits in that kind of quiet, tucked into Placer Valley among towering trees and the kind of wide mountain views that make you stop mid-sentence. It's a three-level lodge that feels genuinely built for gathering, with enough room across its 2,200 square feet that everyone gets a corner to themselves when they need one. The loft with its skylights and tree views is the sort of space you drift toward without planning to. And after a long day — skiing Breckenridge, exploring Alma's old mining corners — there's something deeply right about ending up around a fire pit with that high-altitude stillness settling in. It's a place that earns its memories honestly.

Beautiful cabin that was well maintained that offered privacy in the mountains. Yvonna was very responsive to all our questions and made sure that all of our needs were met. The cabin was very clean and all the amenities that were provided made us feel right at home. We would gladly stay here again!

We had the most amazing time! This air bnb is perfect if you want to vacation without the stress of vacation. There were toys for my babies and coffee in the cabinets. The views are amazing and the hot tub/grill are such a wonderful amenity.

We had a great time staying at the cabin. This certainly was one of the cleanest Airbnb’s we’ve stayed at and was conveniently located to many trails and Breckenridge! It was quiet and relaxing, just what we needed!

This was our third trip to Alma, and we love the area. Yvonna was a wonderful host and we loved our stay at her house.
