Beautiful new home
The beds were very comfortable
Lots of room for 10 people to relax in comfort

The driveway alone sets the tone. Hidden Acres Retreat unfolds across a generous stretch of private land, the kind of property where the air feels different the moment you arrive. This is not a manicured resort or a minimalist cabin. It is a full-scale residence built for groups, families, and gatherings that need space to breathe. The architecture is warm and grounded, designed to accommodate without pretension, with interiors that balance comfort and capacity across multiple bedrooms and shared living areas.
What defines the property is the sheer breadth of what exists on site. A dedicated pickleball court and a full basketball court anchor the outdoor experience, offering something genuinely rare for a private rental. These are not afterthoughts or patch-job additions. They are built for real use, positioned across the grounds with enough surrounding space to feel like part of the landscape rather than interruptions to it. Beyond the courts, the property's acreage invites long walks, open-air meals, and the kind of unhurried afternoons that only come when you have nowhere else to be. Gathering spaces extend naturally from indoors to out, with a layout that encourages groups to spread across the property rather than cluster in a single room.
Inside, the retreat is built for the full arc of a stay. The kitchen is equipped for group cooking, large enough to accommodate multiple people preparing meals together without the awkward choreography of a cramped rental kitchen. Living areas are scaled for gathering, with seating that accommodates the whole party rather than splitting it apart. Bedrooms are arranged to offer privacy within the larger group dynamic, giving couples, families, or friends their own corners of the house while keeping the communal spaces close at hand.
Hidden Acres Retreat is the kind of property that rewards an unhurried itinerary. Mornings might start slowly over coffee in the kitchen before someone drifts outside to shoot hoops. Afternoons build around a pickleball match that starts casual and turns competitive. Evenings settle into long dinners cooked together and conversations that stretch past the point where anyone checks the time. The rhythm here is self-directed and generous, shaped by the people who fill it rather than any prescribed schedule. It is a place where the property itself becomes the destination, where the impulse to leave fades quickly, and where the measure of a good day is simply how well you used the space you were given.

There's a particular kind of quiet that belongs to places like this — sprawling, wooded, unhurried — where the property itself seems to breathe alongside the Pennsylvania landscape surrounding it. Hidden Acres feels less like a rental and more like someone's deeply considered country estate, one where the kitchen actually invites cooking and the indoor spaces have a warmth that keeps you lingering longer than planned. What sets it apart is the blend of restfulness and play: a pickleball court in the open air, a game room for rainy afternoons, a fire pit area with real wood and big tables that anchor the kind of evenings you talk about for months. It's built for groups who want togetherness without formality, for people who find luxury in high-thread-count sheets and the absence of a schedule. The retreat earns its name — you leave feeling like you've been somewhere, not just away.

Landon's home was perfect for our weekend retreat. It had plenty of space to host multiple people. The pickleball/basketball court got its use in, as well as the pool table. The firepit was spacious to host everyone and a great way to end our last night there. Everyone had great things to say about the beds and sheets that we used. The home on the hill was nice and felt really private which was great. We enjoyed going up the mountain and doing a light hike to see what was in the woods next to us.
Our biggest negatives were:
(1) The WATER SMELLED TERRIBLE. As if rotten eggs and copper were mixed together. This made drinking it almost impossible. But taking a shower in it was disgusting. I felt like I was just getting dirty all over again with the water that rinsed me.
(2) The dumpster is kinda far from the home and not in walking distance.
(3) The oven is complicated and was difficult throughout the weekend.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would go again! Thank you Landon.
