Excellent location only minutes from the main part of downtown. A quick drive to beautiful walks and hikes. The place was immaculate and completely as advertised. Would spend another weekend here annually.

There is a particular kind of stillness that belongs to properties set among open meadows, where the land stretches outward and the pace of everything slows to match. Maplewood Meadow is that kind of place. A private residence designed for guests seeking space, privacy, and the uncomplicated pleasure of being somewhere genuinely peaceful. The architecture feels considered without being overwrought, a home that belongs to its landscape rather than competing with it. Mature maple trees frame the property, lending the grounds a sense of rootedness and seasonal beauty that shifts from lush green canopies in summer to vivid amber and copper in autumn.
The residence is laid out with comfort and gathering in mind. Interiors are warm and inviting, with living spaces that feel generous enough for a group yet intimate enough for a couple retreating from the noise of daily life. The kitchen is fully equipped, designed for real cooking rather than mere show, making it easy to prepare meals at your own pace with ingredients sourced from nearby. Bedrooms are restful and uncluttered, with natural light filtering through windows that look out over the surrounding meadow. Every detail reinforces the sense that Maplewood Meadow was designed not as a showpiece but as a place where people actually want to spend their time, lingering over coffee in the morning, reading in the afternoon, gathering around the table in the evening.
Outdoors, the property opens onto its namesake meadow, a generous expanse of green that invites long walks, quiet contemplation, or simply sitting and watching the light change over the course of an afternoon. The grounds offer the kind of unhurried outdoor experience that is increasingly rare, where nature is not curated into a backdrop but genuinely surrounds you. Whether you spend your days exploring the surrounding area or never leave the property at all, the rhythm here supports both impulses equally.
What stays with you after Maplewood Meadow is not any single detail but the cumulative effect of days spent in a home that asks nothing of you. No itinerary, no agenda, no performance of luxury. Just the steady company of open sky, the rustle of maple leaves, and the quiet satisfaction of time that finally feels like your own.

There's a quietness here that feels earned, not staged — a Cape-style house renovated with real intention, where oak hardwood floors and natural light do most of the talking. It's the kind of place that rewards you for slowing down without making a production of it. The living room fireplace anchors the whole mood, pulling you toward evenings that feel genuinely unhurried. Out back, open meadow views stretch beyond the yard, and the fire pit becomes the sort of gathering point where conversations drift longer than expected. Kingston is five minutes away, Woodstock twenty, but the best thing about Maplewood Meadow is how little urgency you feel to leave it.

Had a great stay and would stay again if I am in the Kingston Area.

Beautiful and cozy home a short drive to Kingston proper and the river — it was perfect for our weekend stay with friends!

The house was super clean and had very defined spaces so it could host multiple people/large family and you won't be on top of each other. It is on a street with no outlet so while there are people and cars who pass by, it's very infrequent and more or less quiet most of the day. The backyard is SUPER long/deep so there's more privacy there.
It's a very short drive to the uptown section of Kingston with shopping/restaurants but not walkable. 10 minutes or so to the downtown area by the river. Lots of options to go out to eat, GrubHub delivery was more limited.
Entry is with a code so super simple and no need to pass off keys from a host. The rental company was responsive when I had a question and provided a full document of info for the house and check-in.
Kitchen has everything to cook at home, bathroom bad hotel style soaps/shampoos. We didn't use the laundry but it was easily accessible. Huge TV in one room.
We used the house as a central place to stay as we did day trips.
