What a beautiful gem right in Fairburn! This treehouse was exquisite. So beautiful on the inside and just as nice on the deck. I highly recommend a stay there.

Beech Retreet Treehouse (Atlanta)
There is a particular kind of quiet that only exists above the treeline. At Beech Retreet Treehouse, set among the mature hardwoods outside Atlanta, that quiet becomes the architecture itself. The structure rises on sturdy stilts into the canopy, a purpose-built treehouse designed not as novelty but as genuine refuge. The approach is unhurried, the surrounding woods dense and green, and by the time you climb the steps to the elevated deck, the ground-level world already feels like something you left behind on purpose.
The interior is compact and considered, with warm wood finishes, large windows that frame the surrounding trees, and a layout that prioritizes openness despite its modest footprint. Natural light filters through the leaf cover and shifts across the space throughout the day, creating a sense of living within the forest rather than beside it. The sleeping quarters feel cocooned yet airy, and the overall design leans into rustic warmth without sacrificing comfort. The outdoor deck extends the living space into the branches, offering a perch where mornings with coffee and evenings with a glass of wine take on an entirely different character when experienced at canopy height.
What makes Beech Retreet Treehouse distinctive is its relationship to Atlanta. This is not a far-flung wilderness escape requiring hours of travel. The property sits within reach of the city, making it possible to trade the pace of urban life for the stillness of the woods without a lengthy journey. That proximity gives it a particular kind of appeal: a place where a weekend away does not require an itinerary, where the point is simply to be somewhere quieter, greener, and slower than where you started.
You settle into the rhythm of the treehouse quickly. The sounds are wind through leaves, birdsong, the occasional creak of timber. There is no lobby, no concierge, no schedule to keep. The experience is defined by its simplicity, by the rare luxury of a space designed around subtraction rather than addition. What stays with you after Beech Retreet is not a list of amenities but a feeling: the particular lightness that comes from spending a night suspended among the trees, close enough to the city to return whenever you choose, but far enough removed to wonder why you would.

There's something quietly radical about a place that asks you to leave your car behind and walk ten minutes through a forest before you even arrive. That short hike resets something in you—by the time you reach the treehouse, cradled by old-growth beeches across 22 private acres, the world you drove in from already feels distant. The design leans into warmth rather than spectacle: wood tones, an elevated sleeping loft, windows that frame the very tree holding you up. But it's the outdoor deck, suspended among three trees and strung with lights, that gives this place its particular magic—a hot tub, a fire pit, and a dining table all hovering in the canopy. It's the kind of retreat that rewards people who actually want to disappear for a while, not just perform the idea of it.

What an awesome place!!! The treehouse is so unique, clean and cozy. The fresh wood scent when you walk in is so welcoming. My family of 4 had plenty of space and privacy. The outdoor deck, large windows and glass doors are perfect! We had a wonderful stay and will definitely return if the opportunity presents itself.

I had a lovely, relaxing weekend at the treehouse. Very peaceful, private, but not too far from local stores. The space was clean, modern/rustic, and very comfy. Only negatives were that hot tub was not working (I knew before booking, so really my decision), and the refrigerator is small. Fortunately, there’s a Publix conveniently located just a short drive to the property. I had fun hiking and riding the golf cart. Great spot if you need some alone time, but it would be fun with a small group of people.
