We had a great stay at this beautiful and stunnig House. Everything was good to reach from there. Fieldtrip was everytime good to reach:)

The approach tells you everything. A low-slung silhouette set against open terrain, where the architecture doesn't compete with the landscape but channels it. Sandstone by Fieldtrip is a modern residential retreat designed for small groups and couples who want space, privacy, and a considered aesthetic without the formality of a traditional hotel. The structure feels deliberate in its restraint, all clean geometry and natural materials, with large windows that pull the surrounding views directly into the living spaces.
Inside, the design leans warm and minimal. The interiors balance modern furnishings with textured surfaces and muted tones that echo the terrain outside. Common areas are open and light-filled, built for gathering or quiet mornings with coffee. The kitchen is fully equipped for those who prefer to cook in, and the living spaces flow easily from indoors to out. It is the kind of home where the architecture shapes the rhythm of the day rather than prescribing it.
The pool is the property's defining gathering point. Set against the landscape with unobstructed sightlines, it anchors the outdoor experience and gives the home a resort-like quality without sacrificing intimacy. Surrounding lounge areas offer space to read, rest, or simply take in the panorama as the light shifts through the afternoon. The outdoor spaces feel as intentional as the interiors, designed to extend the living area into the open air.
Fieldtrip has built a reputation for curating homes that feel architecturally significant without being precious. Sandstone fits squarely within that ethos. Every detail, from the material palette to the spatial flow, reflects a design-forward sensibility that values experience over excess. You leave with the memory of long evenings by the pool, golden light flooding through glass, and the particular stillness that comes from being surrounded by landscape with nothing between you and the horizon.

It's the way the architecture refuses to compete with the landscape — clean lines, raw concrete, natural wood, a palette pulled directly from the terrain itself — that tells you someone understood what the Mojave actually asks of a building. Sandstone feels less designed than distilled, every surface and sight line tuned to the desert's own rhythm of light and stillness. The pool sits as a quiet focal point, framed against the horizon, and the days here have a way of organizing themselves around it without anyone deciding they should. What lingers isn't a single moment but the accumulated effect of unhurried hours, kitchen light on stone, the sage-dust smell carried on evening air, a sky dense enough with stars to feel almost theatrical. Some properties try to give you the desert; this one simply gets out of its way.

From the moment we booked until checkout, everything about our stay was absolutely wonderful! The hosts were super responsive and made the whole process so smooth. The house exceeded our expectations—spotlessly clean, comfy beds, great AC, and such a quiet, peaceful setting. Our family had a fantastic time here and felt right at home. We would love to come back again and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

This home was more beautiful than pictures could capture. Even for just my wife and I we had an absolute blast relaxing by the pool and enjoying the large living space. We couldn’t stop from already talking about when we will back with friends.

The actual house is absolutely stunning. Beautiful outdoor pool, kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms. The house is a bit close to neighbors however. Which kind of goes against the idea of being isolated in the desert. But the house itself is stunning and the field trip people are very responsive.
