Great location and a nice roomy home!

Some homes earn their appeal through proximity. This one does it through immersion. A three-bedroom, one-bathroom residence managed by Stay Portland, this cozy house sits in one of the city's most walkable neighborhoods, where coffee shops, boutiques, restaurants, and daily errands all fall within a few blocks. The Walk Score of 97 is not a marketing flourish. It is a reflection of how little you will need a car once you arrive.
The home itself is designed for comfort rather than spectacle. Three bedrooms offer enough space for families or small groups to settle in without stepping on one another. A shared bathroom keeps things simple and intimate, and the living areas are warm and unpretentious, furnished for the kind of stay where you cook breakfast in the kitchen, read on the couch, and leave the front door unlocked while you walk to dinner. This is not a property that overwhelms with amenities. It is one that gives you a well-kept home in a neighborhood worth exploring on foot, and trusts that the city will fill in the rest.
Portland rewards this kind of stay. The surrounding blocks are dense with independent shops, neighborhood bars, bakeries, and the kind of restaurants that locals return to weekly. Groceries, pharmacies, and transit are all close at hand. Whether you spend your days browsing vintage stores, ducking into a natural wine bar, or simply walking with no particular destination, the neighborhood functions as an extension of the house itself. There is a rhythm to staying somewhere this connected to its surroundings, one that hotel lobbies and rental car dashboards rarely replicate.
What lingers after a stay at this home is not any single detail but rather the ease of it. The mornings that start slowly and lead somewhere interesting. The evenings that end with takeout on the couch or a short walk home from a restaurant you discovered by accident. It is a place that feels less like a rental and more like borrowing a friend's house in the best part of town.

What gets you here isn't the polish—it's the texture. This three-bedroom residence in Southeast Portland feels like it belongs to someone with good taste who actually lives in the neighborhood, not a set dressed for guests. Artisanal details and thoughtful art give the rooms a quiet personality, the kind of place where you settle in rather than check in. Its real charm is proximity to the overlapping energy of Hawthorne and Belmont—a near-perfect walk score means the city's eclectic coffee spots, vintage shops, and farm-to-table restaurants are your front yard. Bring the dog, cook something inspired by the farmer's market, let the evening unfold on foot. It's a stay that rewards the unhurried and the curious, and it lingers because it felt less like traveling and more like briefly having a life somewhere you love.

What a beautiful, charming, cozy and clean house. It had that Portland flare and was so close to great shops and amazing food options. We even made friends with the friendly neighbor cat. We will definitely be back. Thomas was an incredible host!

If you like comfortable, cozy, quiet but within walking distance of a downtown area. Then this perfect spot. Portland was a new experience for me and I’m glad I was able to experience some of the local favorites Thomas recommended. The House is smaller than expected but it was the perfect size for my mother, sister and I. The bath tube shower is smaller for what I’m used too, however to be fair I am 5’11. Overall a great place to stay hope to be back in Portland get to visit this neighborhood again soon!
