Great place to stay, however it’s not super clear the 3rd bedroom is in a loft with very narrow stairs. I luckily wasn’t traveling with my kids, I would have been very upset if I’d brought them there

Clean lines, warm wood, and walls of glass greet you at this mid-century residence in one of Portland's most coveted neighborhoods. Mid-Century Home • Top Location • 3BR • Sleeps 6 is a three-bedroom property managed by Stay Portland, offering the kind of space and character that hotels rarely provide. The architecture is distinctly of its era, with an open floor plan that feels both structured and inviting, the sort of home where every room connects naturally to the next and natural light does most of the decorating.
The house accommodates up to six guests across three bedrooms, making it well suited for families, small groups, or couples traveling together who prefer a shared home base over separate rooms. The layout encourages gathering without crowding. Common spaces are designed for easy living, whether that means morning coffee at the kitchen counter or an unhurried evening spread across the living room. The property is fully equipped for self-directed stays, with the practical comforts of a well-maintained home and the design sensibility of something more considered.
Location is central to this property's appeal. Situated in what Stay Portland describes as a top Portland neighborhood, the home places you within reach of the city's most interesting corridors. Portland's dining, coffee, and retail scenes are famously neighborhood-driven, and staying in a residential pocket means you experience the city the way locals do, on foot, with a favorite café around one corner and a bottle shop around another. The proximity to Portland's cultural and culinary life gives the stay a texture that destination hotels, no matter how well appointed, struggle to replicate.
What stays with you is the rhythm of the place. The mid-century bones set a tempo that feels unhurried and deliberate. You settle into the house quickly, not because it tries to impress, but because it was designed with proportion and purpose. There is something grounding about spending a few nights in a home that has aged well, in a city that rewards curiosity, surrounded by just enough space to feel both together and at ease.

There's a particular kind of quiet confidence to a home that commits to mid-century design without overcorrecting toward sterility — and this one gets the balance right. The open living space feels genuinely warm, anchored by vintage pieces and local art that read as collected rather than staged. You sense the neighborhood before you even step outside: Buckman's creative energy seems to have seeped into the walls. It sleeps six across three bedrooms, which makes it especially well-suited for a small group of friends who'd rather reconvene over coffee in a real kitchen than a hotel lobby. The proximity to Portland's craft brewery and restaurant culture is measured in footsteps, not cab rides, and that closeness shapes the whole stay — you drift out, you drift back, the home absorbs the rhythm of the city without competing with it.

Perfect getaway for a business trip. Located in a quaint, quiet neighborhood with plenty of entertainment within walking distance. All who stayed complimented the beds at the house. Highly recommended.

This Stay Portland house
was a good size. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 couches for sleeping. And even though there is only one bathroom it is big and nicely finished. So this place worked well for us.
Just want to mention, because this got past me (a new experience) parking is on a busy street so you may need to drive around to find a spot 😀
But that is city living! It's a good location for nightlife.
