Perfect getaway for a business trip. Located in a quaint, quiet neighborhood with plenty of entertainment within walking distance. All who stayed complimented the beds at the house. Highly recommended.

Clean angles and warm wood greet you at the threshold. This mid-century residence, managed by Stay Portland, sits in one of the city's most sought-after neighborhoods, its architecture a study in the era's defining principles: open sight lines, natural materials, and an effortless connection between interior living and the outdoors. The home sleeps six across three bedrooms, offering the kind of space and privacy that hotels rarely replicate.
Inside, the layout unfolds with the logic of its era. Living areas are generous and light-filled, designed around the mid-century ideal of communal gathering without sacrificing quiet corners. A fully equipped kitchen anchors the home, inviting the sort of unhurried morning routines and evening meals that define a stay in a city celebrated for its food culture. Whether you're cooking with ingredients from a nearby farmers market or simply making coffee before the rest of the house wakes, the kitchen feels like the heart of the experience here. The three bedrooms are arranged to give each guest a sense of retreat, with enough separation to allow for different rhythms within the group.
Portland's appeal has always been its neighborhoods, and this home's location places you within easy reach of the city's most distinctive pockets. The surrounding streets reward exploration on foot or by bike, with independent restaurants, coffee roasters, bookshops, and parks woven into the residential fabric. The city's cultural institutions, craft breweries, and natural escapes along Forest Park or the Willamette River are never far. This is a home base that lets you move through Portland like a local rather than a visitor.
What stays with you is the pace the house encourages. Mid-century architecture was always about framing daily life as something worth paying attention to, and this home does exactly that. Mornings stretch. Conversations linger at the dining table. Evenings settle into the living room with an ease that feels earned rather than staged. For a group of friends or a family seeking a few days in Portland, this residence offers something increasingly rare: a place that feels genuinely lived-in, beautifully considered, and entirely your own.

There's a particular kind of quiet confidence to a home that commits to mid-century design without overcorrecting toward sterility — and this one gets the balance right. The open living space feels genuinely warm, anchored by vintage pieces and local art that read as collected rather than staged. You sense the neighborhood before you even step outside: Buckman's creative energy seems to have seeped into the walls. It sleeps six across three bedrooms, which makes it especially well-suited for a small group of friends who'd rather reconvene over coffee in a real kitchen than a hotel lobby. The proximity to Portland's craft brewery and restaurant culture is measured in footsteps, not cab rides, and that closeness shapes the whole stay — you drift out, you drift back, the home absorbs the rhythm of the city without competing with it.

Great place to stay, however it’s not super clear the 3rd bedroom is in a loft with very narrow stairs. I luckily wasn’t traveling with my kids, I would have been very upset if I’d brought them there

This Stay Portland house
was a good size. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 couches for sleeping. And even though there is only one bathroom it is big and nicely finished. So this place worked well for us.
Just want to mention, because this got past me (a new experience) parking is on a busy street so you may need to drive around to find a spot 😀
But that is city living! It's a good location for nightlife.
