Fresh eggs! Love this family farm!

The road narrows before it arrives. Past stone walls softened by lichen, past stands of birch and spruce, the landscape opens onto cleared fields and weathered structures that feel as though they have belonged to this land for generations. Three Sisters Farm is that kind of place: a working agricultural property in Maine where the rhythm of the stay is shaped not by itinerary but by the cadence of the land itself.
The accommodations are rooted in the farmstead's character, offering guests a residential experience that feels private, unhurried, and genuinely connected to its surroundings. Interiors lean toward the warm and the well-worn, with natural materials, simple furnishings, and the kind of quiet comfort that invites long mornings and early nights. Full kitchens allow guests to prepare their own meals, and the property's agricultural setting means seasonal produce and farm-fresh ingredients are never far from reach. Windows frame open fields and tree lines rather than neighboring rooftops, and the sense of seclusion is immediate without feeling remote.
Outdoors, the property unfolds across open pasture, garden beds, and forested edges that shift with the season. The farm is a living, working landscape, and guests are welcome to engage with it or simply observe its daily patterns from a comfortable distance. There is space here to walk, to read, to gather around a fire as the evening cools. The Maine coastline, with its tidal coves, lobster shacks, and rocky shorelines, is close enough to explore by day and leave behind by nightfall. The surrounding area offers the kind of quiet, unhurried New England character that rewards curiosity: farm stands, local markets, small harbors, and stretches of coast where the only company is the gulls.
What lingers about Three Sisters Farm is the texture of the days spent here. Not the polish of a luxury hotel, but something more fundamental. The crack of a screen door, the smell of cut grass carried on a salt breeze, the particular stillness that settles over a farm at dusk. It is the kind of stay that recalibrates your sense of time and leaves you with the feeling that you have been somewhere real.

It's the kind of place where the wide-plank floors and exposed beams feel earned, not staged — a farmhouse that has actually lived through New England winters and carries that history in its bones. The rolling Midcoast Maine hills give the property a sense of gentle enclosure, like the landscape itself is conspiring to slow you down. What sets it apart isn't any single amenity but the texture of the whole thing: antique charm held together with real warmth, meadows that stretch without pretension, and a quiet that feels less curated than simply inherited. The nearby coast is there when you want it, but the farm doesn't need it to justify itself. This is a place that earns its stillness.

I can’t say enough about our stay at Three Sisters Farm. Mia and her family were wonderful hosts, the house was beautiful and everything was well thought out from the comfortable beds, Public Goods toiletries and activities for all ages (we loved the kayaks, ping pong table and workout area with a reformer and Peloton). The grounds were so peaceful and there was plenty of room for our group of eight. We’ll definitely be back again and will highly recommend Three Sisters Farm to all of our family and friends. Thanks so much Mia!

Staying at Three Sisters Farm was one the highlights of our trip. The home and all the amenities transported us into a magical experience that felt like we were living in a “pride and prejudice” movie. Such a beautiful home and surroundings. Mia was an outstanding host who went above and beyond to make our first time to Maine a trip we will never forget. If you are looking for a home to unwind and rejuvenate this is it!! Thanks Mia, for a fantastic vacation.

We absolutely loved our stay at Three Sisters Farm! The Farmhouse is stunning - romantically rustic, with so much charm, and stocked with all the things you might need to make your trip relaxing and worry free! Exploring the house with like going on a treasure hunt, each day we would find something new and exciting to enjoy. We loved how close we were to water, and that we could easily drive to Camden, Rockland, Owl's Head, and other nearby towns to explore. The town of Friendship is also just the cutest little spot ever - the kids loved heading down to the harbor to watch the fishing boats and see the buoy tree :) and then stock up on snacks and treats from Wallace's Market and head back to the farmhouse for a cozy family movie night. We can't wait to visit again!
