Great place to stay! Clean and conveniently located, and in particular just a couple blocks from a bus line that goes straight to Providence Park.

Some houses announce themselves with architectural drama or designer pedigree. This one greets you with something simpler and harder to manufacture: the feeling that you've arrived somewhere your family can actually settle in. Family-Friendly Home is a three-bedroom residence in Portland, managed by Stay Portland, that trades the compression of hotel living for open rooms, a functional kitchen, and the kind of space that lets a household breathe. The layout is straightforward and generous, designed less for display than for the daily rhythms of a group traveling together.
Three bedrooms provide enough separation for parents, children, or friends sharing a trip, while common areas keep everyone connected when it matters. The kitchen is fully equipped for real cooking, not just reheating, which reshapes mornings and evenings into something more relaxed than restaurant schedules allow. There is a living area where the group can gather at the end of a long day of exploring, and the kind of practical, comfortable furnishings that invite you to use them without worry. Laundry facilities and reliable wireless internet round out the amenities, small details that quietly make a longer stay feel sustainable rather than aspirational.
The location is the property's other defining strength. Portland is a city that rewards wandering, and this home sits in a neighborhood that makes it easy to walk toward coffee, food, parks, and the small independent shops that give the city its particular character. Whether you are here for a weekend or a full week, the proximity to Portland's dining scene, its green spaces, and its cultural offerings means you spend less time in transit and more time in the texture of the place itself. It is the kind of base that lets a city trip feel unhurried.
What stays with you after a few nights here is not a single spectacular moment but the accumulated ease of mornings without a checkout clock, dinners cooked on your own terms, and the freedom of a home that belongs to you for a little while. Family-Friendly Home offers something increasingly rare in travel: the permission to move at your own pace, in a space that actually fits the shape of your group.

What strikes you first is how this place refuses to feel borrowed. It's a proper home — renovated with real care, not staged for a catalog — sitting in inner SE Portland where the neighborhood's personality starts right at the doorstep. The kitchen isn't an afterthought; it's built around the idea that you'll actually want to cook here, gathering around the island with your people, morning light filling the room through those generous windows. Each bedroom feels considered rather than duplicated, the master suite quietly elevated with its en-suite details. But the real pull is the location: artisan coffee, inventive restaurants, galleries, and parks all within walking distance, so you're living inside Portland's rhythm rather than visiting it. It's the kind of stay that works because it lets a family settle in — not as tourists passing through, but as temporary residents with a very good address.

This beautifully decorated apartment exudes old-world charm with elegant details throughout (very pretty wallpaper). The atmosphere is warm and inviting with big windows overlooking the trees and street below. We loved the quality of the bed linen.

Had a great time! Kids loved the bunk bed and tent room. Well stocked kitchen. Easy street parking within 1 block. Minimal noise from the bar next door (stayed Sun to Wed). Would 100% stay again!

This place was a dream... beautiful old house among historic shady trees. We walked to breakfast and have never enjoyed Portland so much. The home is better and even bigger than the photos depict. It's in a neighborhood so there's no driveway or designated parking spot and there's a neighborhood pub next door that was lively and loud. It was a holiday weekend and people were having a good time. Nothing unusual for life in the city. We would definitely stay here again!
