Good spot, and nice space!

There is a particular pleasure in staying somewhere that feels less like a booking and more like borrowing a friend's well-loved home. Casa Solarium, a residential rental managed by Stay Portland, offers exactly that: a light-filled space designed around comfort, simplicity, and the easy rhythms of neighborhood living. The name itself speaks to the defining quality of the property. Sun pours through the windows, lending warmth and openness to interiors that feel both inviting and unhurried.
The residence is thoughtfully appointed for guests who prefer independence over formality. You will find a fully equipped kitchen ready for mornings spent brewing coffee or preparing a meal with ingredients picked up from nearby shops. The living spaces are clean and comfortable, arranged with a sense of purpose rather than decoration. Everything here is designed for ease, from the layout of the rooms to the small, practical touches that make a short stay feel settled and complete. Whether you are traveling as a couple or with a small group, the scale of the home suits the kind of trip where you want space to stretch out without losing the intimacy of a private retreat.
What elevates Casa Solarium beyond a simple place to sleep is its relationship to the surrounding neighborhood. Portland's local eateries, coffee shops, and parks sit within easy reach, and the property's positioning encourages you to step outside and explore on foot. Morning espresso at a nearby café, an afternoon walk through one of the city's green spaces, dinner at a neighborhood restaurant where the menu changes with the season. The city unfolds naturally from here, without the need for itineraries or advance planning. This is Portland as residents experience it, not as tourists pass through it.
What stays with you after a visit to Casa Solarium is the lightness of the experience itself. No front desk, no lobby, no formalities. Just a warm, sun-drenched home in a neighborhood that rewards curiosity, a place where the best moments happen when you simply follow the light out the door.

What strikes you first is the light — this is a space that feels genuinely shaped by it, with hardwood floors and clean, minimalist lines that let the brightness do the decorating. Casa Solarium has the quiet confidence of a home that belongs to someone with taste but no interest in showing off, which is about the most Portland thing imaginable. Three bedrooms give it the rare quality of feeling spacious enough for a small group without losing intimacy. And the location, just two blocks from Hawthorne's bookstores, vintage shops, and that particular strain of Pacific Northwest coffee culture, means you're embedded in the neighborhood rather than observing it. It's the kind of stay that rewards you for cooking dinner in rather than going out — local ingredients, a proper kitchen, a glass of Willamette Valley Pinot — and somehow that feels like the more adventurous choice.

Hayden was fantastic. The house was as described, super easy to get to and street parking was never a problem. Highly recommend!

Everything went amazing from the day I booked! Hayden is so friendly and very quick to respond to any question I had. His place is very spacious and cute, just like the pictures, and I would definitely stay again!

Hayden’s place was perfect for us! Super walkable, right off Belmont with tons of places to eat and drink. Bluto’s is on the corner and delicious. The Vern is down the block and a great place for beers. The Nest is across the street with a pool table. Hayden was super responsive and helpful. Washer dryer inside the unit was great! We were able to extend our stay for a decent price thanks to Hayden and his team. It was dope! We will be back.
