This was beautiful and the view was exceptional!

The approach is unhurried, as most things are in this corner of Deer Valley. You turn off the main road and arrive at a residential neighborhood where the mountains feel close and the pace of a ski town settles into something quieter. Abode at Queen Esther sits on a tree-lined street in the lower Deer Valley area, a private residence managed by Abode Park City that trades the formality of a hotel lobby for the familiarity of walking through your own front door.
This is not a polished resort experience, and it doesn't pretend to be. What it offers instead is proximity and value in a destination where both can be hard to come by. The home is located just a block from the Deer Valley shuttle, connecting you to the resort's slopes and village without the hassle of parking or navigating icy roads. The residence itself is a comfortable mountain home suited to families or small groups who want a base camp with room to spread out. Expect the kind of lived-in warmth that comes with a well-maintained vacation rental: a kitchen where you can cook breakfast before first chair, a living area to collapse into after a long day on the mountain, and the simple pleasure of privacy at the end of the night. It is worth noting that the home does not have air conditioning, a detail that matters little during ski season but is worth considering for summer visits.
Deer Valley itself needs little introduction to those who know it. The resort is consistently regarded as one of the most well-groomed ski destinations in North America, with meticulously maintained runs, limited daily skier capacity, and a focus on service that extends from the lodge to the lifts. Beyond the slopes, Park City's Historic Main Street is a short drive away, offering restaurants, galleries, and the kind of mountain-town character that has drawn visitors to this part of Utah for decades. The Sundance Film Festival transforms the area each January, and the surrounding Wasatch Range provides year-round access to hiking, mountain biking, and high-altitude landscapes that shift dramatically with the seasons.
Abode at Queen Esther works best for those who understand what they are choosing: a no-frills home in a premium location, priced to leave room in the budget for lift tickets, dinners out, and the experiences that actually define a mountain vacation. There is something refreshingly honest about that proposition. You are not paying for a concierge or a spa or a turndown service. You are paying for a front door that sits a short walk from one of the best ski resorts in the country, and for the freedom to make the trip your own.

There's something about the way this house holds a group together — the lofty ceilings and soaring windows pull the mountain light deep inside, while the massive stone fireplace anchors everything around a single, warm center of gravity. It feels like a place built for the in-between moments: the post-ski debrief with wine in hand, the unhurried breakfast at the granite counter, the late-night laughter drifting up from the bunk room. The custom stained glass is an unexpected touch — it reads as personal rather than decorative, lending a sense of history to a property that could easily lean purely modern. And the hot tub, set against the Rocky Mountain backdrop, earns its keep not as a luxury but as a kind of quiet reset. This is a house for extended families or old friends who want proximity to Deer Valley's polish without staying somewhere that feels impersonal — and that distinction matters more than most people realize.

Abode is overall one of the best hosts I have encountered on AirBnB. Responsive, respectful, and a beautiful home.<br/>Close to the base of DV with ample access to public transportation as well as Down Town Park City. The Home was clean, spacious, and extremely accommodating. 10/10.

The place was exactly what we were looking for. Brad met us upon arrival and walked us through everything we needed to know, which was super helpful for our first time to PC/DV. Stayed with a group of 8 and everyone had plenty of space and it never felt crowded - the space could easily handle a larger group. The openness of the living room / kitchen / hot tub area was a great spot for the whole group to congregate. The over-sized couch in the living room was the group's top hang out and wind-down spot. The location is also very convenient to the bus (picks up every 10 minutes) that will drop you off directly at the Main St., which is also where you can connect to other bus lines (i.e. if going to Canyons side) - we walked from the house to the bus stop in our ski boots with no problems. The house was clean and very comfortable. We would absolutely book this place on a return visit.

10 of us stayed at the house for a business retreat and had a great time! Lots of sleeping options, spacious living room, ability to park 2-3 cars. We loved the hot tub after a day on the slopes. Huge kitchen to cook for all.

We had a great stay here and would definitely come back! Place was bigger than expected and fit us 7 comfortably with 7 beds. Having the shuttle nearby was also a plus to avoid taking Ubers into town. Highly recommend.
