Request a courtyard-facing room with piazza access — the second-floor ones catch the best cross breeze and let you eavesdrop on the evening wine and cheese reception below before you wander down. That reception, by the way, is the move: skip a formal happy hour elsewhere and settle into the cobblestoned courtyard around 5:30 when the light goes amber through the oak canopy. For dinner, don't default to Husk — walk to 82 Queen instead and have them send something back to the inn if you'd rather eat on your piazza. King Street is steps away, but the smartest thing you can do is resist it until morning, when the shops are quiet and the coffee is unhurried. This place rewards the guest who slows down.

What a wonderful spring break vacation. The location was perfect! We were steps away from King street and many local attractions.
We also had easy access to the interstate where we explored Mount Pleasant and Isle of Palms. The house was immaculate and the backyard was adorable as well. We spent lots of time outside and hanging out at the house with our children after long days of exploring the city. Thank you Stay Duvet, if we are ever back in Charleston we will be staying with you!

We loved this newly renovated place! It worked out perfectly for the four of us, and was close enough to walk to a number of good restaurants and Uber easily to the many historic sites of Charleston. We only wish we could have had a longer vacation!

A little bit of Charleston history but all the modern conveniences!

This was a perfect home base for our time in Charleston. Great location - walkable to incredible restaurants with easy access to King Street, the French Quarter, battery, etc. The house was unbelievably spotless, back yard was peaceful, beds were comfortable, and we loved that each room has a sound machine. Would definitely stay again!
One thing to note: the stairs are narrow and awkward with steep and short steps. We both almost fell the first few trips up/down, but learned to take our time and use the railing. Not an issue if you’re nimble but wouldn’t recommend for anyone elderly or with mobility issues.
