Stay Duvet
There is a particular kind of charm that belongs only to buildings that have lived long enough to earn their character. The Carriage House, part of the Revival St Collection, is one such place. A thoughtfully restored residence that carries the proportions and presence of its original architecture while offering the comforts of a considered modern retreat. From the moment you step inside, the sense is immediate: this is a home that has been cared for with genuine intention, where every material, finish, and furnishing reflects a deep respect for craft and history.
The interiors balance period details with contemporary warmth. Exposed architectural elements sit alongside curated furnishings, creating rooms that feel layered rather than decorated. The living spaces are generous and light-filled, designed for both gathering and solitude. A fully equipped kitchen invites unhurried mornings and long evenings spent cooking, while the dining area feels naturally suited to intimate meals with those who matter most. Bedrooms are appointed with quality linens and a restrained palette that lets the architecture speak. Thoughtful touches throughout, from the hardware to the lighting, suggest a host who understands that luxury lives in the details rather than the obvious.
The Carriage House is the kind of property that rewards slowing down. Its layout encourages a gentle rhythm: morning coffee in a quiet corner, afternoon reading in the living room, evening conversations that stretch well past sunset. The outdoor spaces extend the living area and provide a sense of privacy and calm that is increasingly rare. This is not a property defined by amenities or programming but by atmosphere, proportion, and the simple pleasure of inhabiting a beautifully made space.
As part of the Revival St Collection, The Carriage House reflects a curatorial sensibility that values authenticity over trend. Each property in the collection carries its own identity, and this one speaks in a voice that is warm, unhurried, and quietly confident. It is the kind of place you settle into rather than check into, where the days take on their own shape and the return home at the end of each evening feels like a small reward in itself. What stays with you is not any single feature but the overall feeling: a residence that holds its history lightly and offers its comfort without pretense.

What strikes you first is the tension it holds so well — a newly built home that feels earned, not staged, awarded the Carolopolis for its architectural integrity in a city that doesn't hand out that kind of recognition lightly. The ceilings are high, the light is generous, and the furnishings feel chosen rather than sourced, giving the whole place a quiet confidence that doesn't announce itself. It's a block from King Street but operates at a different tempo, the kind of place where four bedrooms somehow create both togetherness and solitude depending on what the evening calls for. You cook here because the kitchen genuinely invites it, not because you have to. Charleston's historic district is right outside, but The Carriage House makes you want to linger before you wander.

This was the perfect space for our last minute trip to Charleston. The location was convenient for walking around the historical streets including King St, grabbing coffee in the morning (Island Provisions), and sourcing anything we needed.
We loved the design, upstairs wrap around patio, comfortable beds, cleanliness, and privacy within and outside of the space. Having coffee and wine on the 1st floor patio while overlooking the well landscaped courtyard was magical.
We would definitely stay here again and hopefully for longer! The only issue that arose was the single parking space as we had two vehicles. We paid $18 / per day for a parking garage two blocks away. Otherwise, punctual communication, on point location, and a beautifully designed space.
Thank you!

We had a great weekend at the Carriage House. The location was perfect, close to shops and restaurants, but tucked away on a quiet side street. The house was clean and had everything we needed, also the provisions shop around the corner became a daily staple for coffee and snacks.

Beautiful space just blocks from the heart of Charleston. Extremely clean and quiet space, that was well furnished and comfortable.

This home was beautiful and a perfect fit for an overnight team retreat. We all wish we could have stayed longer and can’t wait to come back!
