Stay Duvet
The Celestine Suite opens with the kind of understated warmth that makes you slow your pace before you even set down your bags. This is a residential retreat in the truest sense, a carefully appointed private suite positioned just five blocks from King Street, one of the most storied stretches in Charleston. The proximity is part of its appeal, but so is the distance. Close enough to walk to dinner, far enough to feel like you have a neighborhood of your own.
Inside, the suite is designed for comfort that doesn't announce itself. The space is clean and considered, with a layout that gives guests room to settle in rather than simply pass through. A well-equipped kitchen allows for unhurried mornings, coffee made at your own rhythm, breakfast assembled from provisions picked up at a nearby market. The bedroom is quietly generous, and the living area offers the kind of space that hotels rarely do, a place to read, to plan the next day, or to do nothing at all. Details throughout reflect a host's attention to the everyday textures of a stay, from quality linens to practical comforts that make a short visit feel like something longer.
The location is the suite's quiet advantage. King Street unfolds just a short walk away, lined with independent boutiques, galleries, and some of Charleston's most celebrated restaurants. The surrounding blocks carry the architectural character the city is known for, single houses with deep piazzas, iron gates opening onto garden paths, centuries of history layered into every corner. Whether your evening takes you toward a candlelit dining room on Upper King or a cocktail bar tucked along a side street, the return walk home is part of the pleasure.
What the Celestine Suite offers is not spectacle but rhythm. The rhythm of a place that belongs to you for a few days, in a city that rewards those who walk slowly and pay attention. It is the kind of stay that feels personal rather than performative, where the measure of a good morning is how long you linger before stepping out the door.

What strikes you first is the tension between old Charleston and something quietly modern — the suite sits in the historic downtown but feels renovated with a careful, deliberate hand rather than a heavy one. Rich textures and calming hues set a tone that's more collected than decorated, the kind of space where someone made real choices about furnishings rather than ordering a catalog. The chef's kitchen feels like it belongs to someone who actually cooks, not just a showpiece, and the dining area beside it has an intimacy that makes a simple bottle of wine feel like an occasion. Five blocks to King Street means you're close to everything but not inside the noise, which is exactly the right distance for Charleston. It's the sort of place that rewards staying in as much as heading out.

Amazing apartment for our family of 5. The main bedroom and bath was awesome. The front loft style bedroom was fantastic for the kids. Kitchen was well stocked and they left us some really good coffee. We were so comfortable and got to bring our furry friend. It’s about a 20 min walk to all the action on King Street and a short Uber ride. Highly recommend staying.

Lovely place to stay in a great location. Lots of restaurants in walking distance. Lovely bathroom, great bedroom and fast WiFi. We would certainly stay again!

We had a wonderful stay! The apartment has been thoughtfully renovated with all the modern conveniences, but highlighted the historic charm of the building. There were 3 of us occupying the space and we really appreciated the separation of private space. The location is excellent with local businesses, restaurants, coffee shops, etc, along Spring Street and walking to King St and beyond was a breeze. The space had every amenity we needed and even had a few meals at home. We also appreciated the wide driveway and spacious parking area since we drove our truck for our visit. We would highly recommend!

This Airbnb was amazing!!! We did a girls weekend here and this place was PERFECT! Plenty of space to get ready in both bathrooms, great amenities, huge kitchen with all the glassware, very comfy beds, and a cute little front porch.<br/>There are a couple great coffee shops within a 5 minute walk of the house, and a great convenience store for wine and snacks.
