Beautiful place, beautiful location, would absolutely love to stay again.

There is a particular stillness that belongs to a cabin set apart. The Rear Cabin at Kabin Haus sits behind the main property, positioned with the kind of deliberate distance that turns a short walk across the grounds into a moment of transition. The architecture is compact and considered, built with clean lines and natural materials that let the surrounding landscape do the talking. You arrive not to grandeur but to proportion, to a structure that feels genuinely calibrated to the experience of two people stepping away from everything else.
Inside, the cabin is warm without excess. The space is designed around essentials elevated just enough to feel intentional. A comfortable bed anchors the room, and the finishes throughout lean into wood and soft textiles that complement the forested setting rather than compete with it. Large windows pull the outdoors close, framing the trees and sky as something you live alongside rather than simply observe. The layout is open and uncluttered, a quality that makes the modest footprint feel generous. There is a simplicity here that reads as confidence, not compromise.
Kabin Haus as a whole is built around the idea of small-scale hospitality, where the property itself is the experience rather than a staging ground for one. The Rear Cabin benefits from this ethos. You have access to the shared outdoor spaces, the kind of common areas that encourage slow mornings with coffee and unhurried afternoons spent reading or sitting in the open air. The grounds are quiet, shaped by trees and natural landscaping that reinforce the feeling of being tucked into something rather than placed on top of it.
What stays with you is the rhythm of the days here. Without the pull of programmed activities or a long list of amenities, time stretches in a way that feels rare. The Rear Cabin offers something increasingly hard to find: a place where doing very little feels like exactly enough.

There's a particular quiet here that feels intentional — not the absence of noise, but the presence of design decisions that refuse to compete with the landscape. Hinterhaven's Japandi sensibility isn't a trend layered on; it reads as a genuine philosophy, where monochromatic beiges and earth tones create a visual hush that lets the surrounding green canopy and mountain views do the talking through those generous windows. It's the kind of place that suits people who don't need entertainment so much as atmosphere — who find a cozy nook for reading just as compelling as a ski run. The food follows the same logic: seasonal, local, stripped of pretension. What stays with you is how the cabin holds both energy and stillness without forcing either.

A very serene escape from the city. My only complain is that the stay was not long enough!

The hosts of hinter cabin have curated a beautiful experience. Everything about the stay is thoughtfully designed and welcoming. An amazing place for a peaceful getaway. We especially appreciated the beautiful view, the coffee setup and the local recommendations from the host. Would highly recommend this stay and would love to return.

The views from Hinter Cabin are absolutely breathtaking. For that alone, it is well worth the stay. The design details and finishings are such a treat, on top of that! The neighborhood collaborations are also a gem (all of the recommended spots with discounts were lovely). It is around a 20 minute drive to the Tremblant resort parking lots.
