What we love about this stay
Book the suite farthest from the living area — it's the quietest and catches morning light through the trees in a way that makes coffee on the Allegheny feel borderline sacred. Use the wood stove in the kitchen at least once; it transforms a simple dinner into an event, and the double oven means you can go ambitious. After dark, skip screens entirely and take the fire pit seriously — the mountain sky out here has zero light pollution, and the elevation sharpens the stars in a way that genuinely startles. Walk to Bacova Beer Co before dinner rather than after; the light on the road back at golden hour is the kind of thing you'll photograph without meaning to. This place works best when you treat it as a base camp for slowness, not a launching pad.

We had the best time here! Our family of five had plenty of space to spread out and relax, but there was also plenty of space for us to be together. We loved all the games in the house and really enjoyed those after long days of skiing! We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

Home is beautiful. Has everything you need for your stay. You will get your work out with all the steps , but it’s worth once you enter the house. Spacious and very comfortable. Beautifully decorated.

Amy’s place was wonderful, clean, spacious, well – outfitted, and close to our conference at the Homestead. Having 3 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom AND an extra bathroom downstairs was a treat and worked well for 3 work colleagues to stay together and spend time together. Amy kindly accommodated a couple special requests.<br/>Unfortunately, a power outage during our stay left the upstairs bathrooms w/o hot water, and, despite running the water for over 10 minutes, we were unable to get the water to warm. Amy was responsive when I reported the issue and immediately attempted to remediate - unfortunately, the situation couldn’t be quickly fixed. Luckily the downstairs bath did have hot water so all was not lost, just inconvenient.
