Thank you for a beautiful stay! The way you presented it on Airbnb was very accurate.

The walk is almost absurdly short. From the front door of Abode at Murdoc House, the town lift and the bustle of Historic Main Street sit within easy reach on foot, placing you at the intersection of Park City's two great draws: world-class skiing and a downtown lined with galleries, restaurants, and the lingering energy of a former silver-mining town. This is not a hotel room with a view of the mountains. It is a full-scale luxury residence built for the kind of group that wants to live together under one roof without compromising on a single detail.
Murdoc House is a custom-built ski chalet offering generous living space designed for gathering after a day on the mountain. The layout centers on open communal areas where the kitchen, dining, and living spaces flow together with the kind of proportions that make a house feel both grand and genuinely comfortable. Finishes throughout are warm and considered, with materials and craftsmanship that reflect the mountain modern aesthetic Park City does at its best. Multiple bedrooms allow families or groups of friends to spread out while still sharing the rituals that make a ski trip memorable: morning coffee before first chair, long dinners prepared in the home's well-appointed kitchen, late evenings by the fire recounting the day's runs. The property is managed by Abode, Park City's premier luxury lodging collection, which means concierge services, professional housekeeping, and local expertise come standard.
The location earns its emphasis. Being within walking distance of both the Town Lift and Old Town eliminates the daily negotiation with shuttles and parking that defines so many mountain vacations. You step outside and you are already where you need to be, whether that means clicking into bindings or browsing the shops and dining rooms that line Main Street. Park City's broader trail network and the surrounding Wasatch Range provide the backdrop, but the immediate neighborhood places you squarely in the town's most desirable corridor.
What stays with you after a stay at Murdoc House is the rare compression of convenience and privacy. You have the full run of a beautifully built private home, every room yours, every decision unhurried. And yet the mountain and the town are not a drive away or a shuttle ride away. They are right there, just outside, waiting whenever you are ready.

What strikes you first is the tension between scale and intimacy—exposed wooden beams and a grand stone fireplace give the space real architectural weight, yet the warm textiles and natural light through floor-to-ceiling windows keep everything from feeling imposing. It's a ski chalet that rewards lingering as much as adventuring, the kind of place where the living room genuinely becomes the center of gravity for a group. Being steps from both the slopes and Park City's Old Town means you never have to choose between mountain solitude and the energy of a real town, which is rarer than it sounds. The wraparound deck and those snow-dusted peak views seal it—this place earns its quiet mornings.

Great location and accommodations, we loved our first visit to Park City. The staff meet us at the house and were very responsive to all request and questions.

Our stay at the Murdoc house was excellent! They were very communicative before the trip including providing a few recommendations for places in Park City and receiving a package from us and placing it in the house. The check in and check out were very easy. The house met the descriptions and the photos - everyone loved it.

We really enjoyed our stay with Adobe. The home was spacious, and was in a great location. We were within walking distance of Main Street. We definitely would re-book.
