What we love about this stay

We discovered Back Forty Glamping through a social media post and decided to treat ourselves to a couple of nights as a Christmas gift to each other. It was an incredible experience, and our only regret was not staying longer. The drive to Meaford was peaceful, and the snowy forest backdrop for the individual pods was stunning. The pod itself was perfectly sized for the two of us, offering all the comforts we could ask for. We loved the thoughtful heating options, including individual heat control on either side of the bed, a room heater, fireplace, and even an extra space heater (which we didn’t need). Staying warm was never a concern, regardless of the weather outside. The kitchen was well-equipped and made it easy for us to prepare delicious meals with little effort. On our first night, we ventured into town for a lovely dinner, but for the rest of our stay, the kitchen provided everything we needed. The jacuzzi was relaxing, and the sauna was absolutely heavenly. Even with other guests on-site, the layout ensured a sense of privacy. We were only reminded that there were other guests when we briefly saw cars in the parking lot. We did not take advantage of the snow shoes as we opted to spend more time relaxing in bed, but would love to go on a nature walk on our next stay. Overall, it was a peaceful and rejuvenating stay. We’re already looking forward to doing it again!

We just enjoyed our second visit to Back Forty. We enjoyed it just as much this time. They staff are very responsive and do their best to accommodate. All you need to bring is food. They have everything else on site. Great spot for a quick getaway and unwind. The Sauna and the the hot tub at the dome make it that much more relaxing. Thanks again Back Forty Team for making this a great experience.

We had a wonderful two night fall getaway. The site is wild, beautiful, very private and the perfect place to relax and unwind. Every detail was so well thought out, from a heated bed spread option, robes, salt/pepper/oil/tea/coffee/sugar and milk and cream in the fridge. Loved the fully stocked, open bathroom. Everything worked perfectly and the dome was exceptionally clean! This is the perfect spot for stargazing on a clear night - we will be back!!
