What we love about this stay
Head straight to the rooftop deck after dark — the LED lighting transforms this little perch into something genuinely cinematic, and on a clear Waco night, the stargazing is surprisingly spectacular for being this close to town. Stock up at the H-E-B on Wooded Acres before you check in; the kitchenette is well-equipped enough for charcuterie and wine, and eating up on that deck beats any restaurant reservation. Morning coffee up there is equally good — the light hits differently around 7 a.m. when the farmland haze is still low. Skip rushing to Magnolia Market at opening; go midweek after lunch when the crowds thin out. The Murphy bed is more comfortable than you'd expect, but bring your own pillow if you're particular. This place rewards people who slow down and actually settle in rather than treating it as a crash pad between attractions.
